All participants must be 18 years or over.

Due to the conditions in some of the locations, it is not advisable for pregnant women to attend.

We do not tolerate drinks and / or drugs on an investigation or anybody under the influence. All it takes is for one person to be a little squiffy and it can spoil the entire night for all present plus, in some locations, the conditions can make anybody inebriated a risk to themselves and others. Anybody believed to be under the influence of drinks or drugs will not be allowed to continue an investigation and will be asked to leave without any refund. Don’t spoil it for yourself or others. Be sober!

Obviously, there will be no smoking in any indoor locations these days, but also, don’t willy nilly light up outdoors. A smoking area will be designated before the night begins. Smoke can interfere with evidence caught on video or photograph .. is it a ghost or someone chain-smoking? You get the picture.

There will be no sleeping facilities at any of the locations unless otherwise stated. Please make sure you have transport for home arranged after the investigation is finished or secure local accommodation.

Northern Ghost Investigations will not be responsible for any loss or damage to any equipment belonging to the participants on any investigation. It takes us all our time to look after our own. So make sure all your valuables are safely tucked away and don’t drop your camera’s!!

All luggage, clothing, equipment, vehicles and effects belonging to you are your own responsibility. Northern Ghost Investigations are not responsible for the safe custody of attendee’s property, for its loss, damage or theft.

Although we can not foresee any problems, accidents/incidents do happen, and all members of your team should preferably have third party public liability insurance, as our insurers have indicated that our public liability policies may not cover your party during your visit to the location since it is outside our normal public access categories. You are staying at the location at your own risk, we accept no liability for any accident or injury to yourselves, however caused.

By agreeing to these terms and conditions you further indemnify the organisers/promoters from and against all legal liability in respect of any costs, claims, damages, demands, penalties, actions, proceedings, suits, losses or expenses in respect of or arising out of the injury to or the death of any person, or damage to any property arising from your participation in any activity.

Northern Ghost Investigations will not supply any transport to or from any location unless otherwise stated.

Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by locations due to weather conditions or situations out of our control. When this occurs Northern Ghost Investigations will make every effort to ensure you receive a refund or will transfer you to another of our events. Please note that if you cancel your place on an event no refund will be given, any expenses including travel incurred due to the cancellation of an event will not be refunded.

Any event due to take place wholly or partially in the open air is likely to be affected by unsuitable/adverse weather conditions. In this case, Northern Ghost Investigations reserve the right to relocate the event to an area which is totally undercover if deemed appropriate.

It is your responsibility to bring suitable clothing to match the weather conditions of the time. Although there may be one or two spare on the night, we also ask that you bring a torch with you and carry it at all times; this is to reduce the risks of injury when walking around in darkness.

All participants are asked to be present for an introductory welcome at the start of the event, at which time a full Health and Safety briefing will be given.

Throughout the event you and your party will act in a sensible manner and will not cause harm or injury to anyone else or the location or the property of Northern Ghost Investigations or any other persons. Any person(s) not acting in a sensible manner will be asked to leave the event with no refund given.

Please refrain from ridiculing anybody’s belief system. Some people believe strongly in an afterlife and spirits visiting this world and some people believe strongly in the opposite. We all have a right to express that opinion without ridicule or attack.

We will ask on the investigation night that you sign a release form for media such as photographs, video and recorded voice so that we may use anything we record on the night on our website and other promotional avenues.

All bookings made with Northern Ghost Investigations means your acceptance of our Terms and Conditions, you will be asked to sign on the evening of the event to say that you have fully read and understood the aforementioned Terms and Conditions of the event.
