This document describes the policy of Northern Ghost Investigations concerning the information you freely pass to us.
Collection of personal information
We say freely, because we don't use any methods whatsoever to gather information from you that you don't willingly supply yourself. All the information we gather is provided by you willingly or is openly stated that we will be recording it. An example of the latter is on our photo album where people can leave comments - we store your IP Address along with your comment. We do this for both your protection to prevent anybody impersonating you and our own purposes to ban, if needed, any IP Address which are the source of any personal abuse.
When making a booking, we only store the information that is necessary for us to contact you in respect of your order. We do not store or hold any financial information in regards to the purchase of one of our events. Any credit card or debit card details are kept by our payment provider - Paypal - and are not accessible by anybody associated with Northern Ghost Investigations. We do on occasion collect email addresses for your own marketing purposes but once more these are willfully given by the subsribers to our newsletters and full removal from our mailing list can be obtained by following the instructions in any mailing you receive from us. Additionally, if you feel we may have information supplied by yourself through other means (ie. after making a booking) and wish us to remove that information from our databases, then please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Use Of Cookies
We do not store any cookies on your PC whatsoever. Our forums work using sessions which are a form of temporary cookie which destroys itself after you close your browser window. We only use cookies for Northern Ghost Investigation members to store preferences they may have in regards to the use of the website.
