Poltergeists are hardly ever reported by people living alone. Anyone have any theories as to why this could be?

Hhhhmm .. if the theory of polts surrounding a particular person holds any water, it maybe that the single person doesn't notice anything out of the ordinairy and it needs somebody else to point out "hey .. thats a bit wierd" .. I've had many a strange "co-incidence" happen in my life when alone and I note it and forget about it. To me, its only in those moments when there is someone else who witnessed the "co-incidence" and shared the experience with when a story to tell others forms ..

Maybe if polts are simply PK energy unknowingly generated by the 'focus', then they may need other people present for the phenomena to materialise. Kind of like a form of psychokinetic 'showing off' or a 'cry for help'.
