I read once, years ago, that Anne Boleyn's spectre was the most prolific ghost in Britain. She was seen all over the country. Why is this?

Its probably a psychological thing ..

When you look back in history there are not that many women who were recorded in history when you compare it to men (hey, I'm not being sexist, honest!!) ..

Everyone likes a royal ghost .. only royal women who have stood out in the past and became 'famous' off the top of my head are : Elizabeth I, Mary Queen of Scots, Victoria ... and Ann Boleyn ..

So .. want a Royal female ghost .. take your pick of one of those 4 ..

Ok, Henry VIII's other wives were kinda famous - but I bet theres not many who could name them all - but ask them to name one .. they'd probably say Ann

Me too but she must have her head tucked under her arm.

Why wold she carry her head anyway? Especially if her 'ghost' was of the residual type, which most reports of her have sounded like in the past. As far as I know she wasn't prone to carrying a severed head around with her in life.

the real thing to ask though, would you rather see Ann with her head in her arms, Ann with no head at all or just Ann with her head back on shoulders ;)

I'd go for the 'Full Ann', 3rd nipple and everything!

That was the rumour anyway. It's probably been debunked by historians now but I like to think she did.

I guess it could be possible, I have seen a bloke with 2 belly buttons before, so why not 3 nipples

Born a couple of hundred years later, she could have been foisted off to a freak show instead of getting her head lobbed off by Old Henry - would have been a nice little earner for her ..

Witches were always said to have a third nipple which they would allegedly use to suckle their familiars. Maybe the Anne Boleyn nipple story was started by people who were opposed to her.
