One that I've been pondering over on and off for a while now

taken last year in the "rounds" the tunnels that access the lower Bastions at Deal Castle in Kent. just on a walk around not investigating and certainly not expecting anything. I don't know what to make of it, as you can see the top half of the photo is perfectly clear, and if it was motion blur the top would be blurred as well.

I find it odd, paranormal - who knows - I doubt it though...interesting nonetheless

and no there wasn't a low lying mist down there..it was taken in summer..

the rounds are always a bit damp truth be told, but not enough to cause a moisture mist. I have the Nikon D3000 set up to take multiple shots...so click,click,click.. all taken with auto exposure .the below was the next or the next to next photo.

Actually there's bugger all light down there. apart from the cannon embrasures and they are small and barely light the room...in the corridor parts between the gun ports it's pitch dark....no torches./..no light sources on the walls or the ceilings the only light was the flash on the camera when i took the photos.

the last is the tunnel down to the rounds with an embrasure opening - again flash was needed, but it illustrates how little light can penetrate from the embrasures.

just thought you might be interested.

interesting pictures there, but sometimes the eye see's patterns in the wall, the misty fog does look convincing. on the first picture I can look at the wall pattern and make out a face of a man with closed eyes and nose. will be interested in what the other people think

Interesting photo. All I can think of was there was something 'going on' with the camera settings when the top photo was taken.

Mark

I'm plumping for unintentional camera movement/shake.....although the top of the photo is in focus..hmmmm

strange but as I said above - probably a rational reason behind it.
