Before I start please forgive me but its orb's again...
When my wife and I (sound like prince phillip there eh) went on a "Ghost Tour" at Chillingham Castle Carole (the wife) had an odd experience when in the long hall she started to move around in the dark on her own ?? this is not usual for my wife who hides behind the sofa at Scooby Doo.
But never the less wander she did, when she came back she told me the reason for her walk about was a cold feeling/ wind on her face she moved about the hall to feel if it was a draught from the window or if it followed and follow it did !! when she went to another part of the hall same again..
She was even more interested when I showed her the photo I had taken of her at the other side of the hall (below)

Ok I know this is an orb but it was in context with requests, these came after I asked in the Long shanks tower for someone to touch me if they could and had my arm scratched

Hi Yorkie, well sounds like you and your wife had an interesting night! I always ask for spirit to show themselves when taking a pic and most of the time they do

Hi Sue
Yes we had a great time there and are going back with Ian Lawman In Feb 2011, should be interesting.
If no-one has done this tour I can recomend it.. No mediums or sensitive just a guide who tells you the history of the place..
Well worth £2o from about 20.00hrs to 22.30hrs ish..
Sound like a salesman dont I he he

I took this photo in the Great Hall in 2006:

Don't think its dust because it seems to be emitting its own light. Let me know what you think.

I have other chillingham photo's that I will post soon.

Interesting pic. Do you think that if it had been emitting its own light then it would have been visible with the naked eye?

Hi doktor_phibes,

Thats a good question. Right before I took this photo a releative of mine thought they saw a shadow at the back of the hall. I quickly turned around and snapped the photo that you see above.

To be fair, I spent more time looking through my camera around Chillingham then with my own eyes lol. I am quite a skeptic of orbs myself and I believe a lot of them can be caused by dust. However, I have photographed them in the woods outside the castle:

Do you think that last one could possibly be a small winged insect illuminated by the flash?
It does look like that to me.

no matter how much I tried to re capture this picture with orb, I could not get another orb like it. Mark are you still trying to find a solution to this one??

Well my 'solutions' to Orbs tend to always boil down to dust, moisture etc, even though I still find aspects of the orb phenomenon interesting. While I admit that the orb in the photo is an impressive example of one, it is impossible to tell a genuine orb (if such things exist) from dust. Many people talk about the 'solidity' of them or the 'cell structure', but in truth dust behaves exactly the same.

It was interesting that both John and myself saw an orange pin point of light in the area of your orb seconds before you took the photo though.

I'm sticking to the scientific fact that orbs can be much more easily explained as image artifacts.

As much as it would be nice to be able to say these are spirits moving about, I highly doubt it.
Kodak investigated Orb phenomena and they conclude that its a limitation in Digital photography that is also present (to a lesser extent) in film photography.

If we work together again somewhere we could try some experiments between your camera and my Digital SLR the results could be interesting.

My past posting on here is testament that I give very little time to Orb theory. However I do like the ribbons that appear on night vision cameras so I am not a total heathen :)

yea I can be a slight bit sceptical myself with these orb pictures as being dust, why do we only get orbs, why carn't it be more significant like the bench pic I took.

I was always woundering wether to get a night time camera or not
