....your all time best ever 'ghost' pic here and tell us a bit about why this one 'does' it for you!
This isnt about whether they are real or fake......this is about why that particular picture has had an impact on you,why it stands out to you over others, what it is about it that you like.....or if its the opposite and its your 'best' because its so obviously faked then again, why that one, what do you find interesting about it?
Lets see peoples all time faves, when we've got enough we'll have a poll and vote for ''NGI's Best ever ghost pic'' !

They can be ones you have taken yourself of the classic famous ones,it doesnt matter, just get them posted and tell us why!

I like this idea pollen. Here's mine. The classic Brown Lady of Raynham hall staircase shot.
This was the picture that really got me into the paranormal. It was in one of my books as a child and I would spend ages just looking at it. It's come under a bit of criticism over the years but still stands up well under scrutiny in my opinion.

This is my favourite picture, when I came across it for the first time I was about 10 and it scared the hell out of me. It was featured in a book from the readers digest called: Into the unknown. A very good book.

Here's another couple of my faves.

The first pic is from my beloved Enfield Poltergeist case. Although it's not technically a ghost photo, it does shoe a supposed poltergeist at work throwing poor old Janet out of bed. Ok, she could have easily just jumped off the bed, but how you rate this photo is probably in relation to how much credibility you put in the Enfield case as a whole. Me, I love it!

The second is a supposed ghost of a girl in a burning building. I suppose it could easily be pareidolia, but if it is, it is a very good example of it.

This 'ghost' photo of a young girl looking out from a raging fire was taken in 1995 at a fire at Wem town hall in Shropshire. Shot from across the street by a local photographer, nothing unusual was seen at the time but once the negative was developed he noticed what appeared to be a young girl standing in the doorway of the burning building. The firemen found no bodies in the building afterwards. Interestingly, however, there is a bit of local folklore which claims that a young girl named Jane Churm accidentally burned the town hall to the ground in 1677 by dropping a candle, and her ghost has been reputed to haunt Wem town hall ever since.

Here's another one of my faves but for completely different reasons. It is the photograph of blindfolded Helen Duncan during a seance with ectoplasm from nose leading to a 'spirit' at her side (1933). You can say that I may be going a bit Chris French in my old age, but there's something about that ghosty that doesn't look quite right to me.

Well I don't know .. all it says is that the girl in the fire photo probably isn't the girl from 1677 .. Why can't the "ghost" be the girl in the 1920s photo instead? In fact, why can't the 1920s photo have captured a ghost on camera too?

Ok, girl in the 2 pics is probably the same - the dres and bonnett is the same - the only issue I have with the explanation is that in the fire pic is a lot more "clearer" than in the 1920s picture (her face in particular) and her head / face looks at a different angle.

I agree, there's no reason why any of the things you mentioned couldn't be the real explanation that why I said 'probably'. I do sway towards the explanation in the article somewhat although I can see there are differences.

What does everyone else think?
