Anyone know what the score would be with battlefields?

The way I figure it, if you can find a site where 1000's of blokes died in agony in a short period of time (a few hours?) then surely there is going to be a bot of residual energy hanging about?????

Yeah .. no?

Yeah, I've been looking around of late - just at battlefields - nothing to do with ghosts. It's surprising just how many there are - noticed there was a battle in Northallerton in about the 1300's and also a battle in Stockton during the civil war .. (was actually a siege of the castle - where the Castlegate Shopping center now stands)

Might be worth having a look into these a bit more

Flodden Fields is suppose to be very active. I know a contact of mine who i keep in touch with Rob has been there and he says its worth a visit.
Also not far is a place called Winters gibbet which has a good story to it.

I heard that Culloden Moor in the Scottish Highlands was very haunted. The battle there took place in April 1746, lasted a mere 40 minutes and left thousands dead or wounded.
I think I would love to investigate the battleground of Gettysburg. About 48000 people lost their life there in only 3 days. - shiver -
The locals there repeatedly report about ghostly goings-on.

Yeah, Pebbles .. As I said .. anywhere where lots of people have died the most gruesome of deaths in a short a period of time that battles usually last MUST have a lot of stuff going on IF life after death exists ..

Its just a case of getting a list together of where they all took place .. yeah, there are the famous ones, but over the years there must have been loads from big battles to smaller things like Viking raids etc

Not an expert but i would say Northumberland had some of the major battlefields inside the NE.Rule of thumb probably is where there are castles there are major battlefields.

Nevilles Cross (Durham)
Otterburn 1388
Flodden(15 somethingish)
The fields around Chillingham

as you can see it nearly always involves the Scots.

Thats something I would find interesting also, another would be a stone circle I had a interesting experience at Long meg and her Sisters. I dragged my hubby there he waited at the car after looking around I returned to the car. What was interesting was my hubbys shorts were covered in tiny black hairs just on the front bit em........ he had never moved just sat on the bonnet, strange but true. Interesting vibes in that circle also from my point of view. Its also open to people and not restricted.
I would go back its on my to do list lol.....

What is your take on stone-circles then Medium? Is the place you mentioned on a lay line? Could that be a bit over-whelming for some one who is sensitve?

Stone-circles and such are things I've always wanted to look into but never got around to .. same with crop circles too ..

More things added to my "To do list .. "

Hi dont no if it on a lay line or not its not a subject I,ve looked into a great deal. I find circles a interesting subject its the unknown aspect that I love about them,I,ve talked before about a group of us going back there maybe doing some experimenting for example it would be interesting to hold a circle there to see what happened. It would be a good idea also to take trigger objects etc along as well as electrical equipment and camera,s just to see if anything did happen.Only speaking for myself I found I was charged up after being there another thing I didnt mention was I became pregnant sadly I lost the baby, but circles are supposed also supposed to make woman concieve a child.
How did you feel about the circle Sue? would like to hear your thoughts as well.

Ive looked a bit into LayLines i have some stuff on it if anyone wants it i can send you it. The main parts are that they are man made. They are made up from positive and negative emotions. i.e from a killing.
I could go on and on but if anyone does want some information on this then let me know and ill email you some stuff. Here is a little bit about it.

In 1921, Englishman Alfred Watkins had a sudden perception (he called it a 'flood of ancestral memory'), while looking at a map of the Herefordshire countryside. He saw that various prehistoric places, such as standing stones, earthen burial mounds, prehistoric earthworked hills, and other such features fell into straight lines for miles across country. Watkins spent many years studying such alignments on the ground and on maps. He was a pioneer photographer and he took photographs of his alignments, wrote books and gave lectures. In response to his work, especially to his most important book, The Old Straight Track (1925), the Straight Track Club was formed, in which people all over Britain conducted field research looking for alignments of sites, and perhaps remnants of old straight tracks lying along them.

Would have to be the summer months I think it would be a bit chilly sitting about this weather lol. It would appeal to me more energy wise than looking for spirits just to see if none sensitive people would experience the energy as well. Mind you a lot of these circles have history as well so you never no, I was with my family as well when I went so didnt really have time to stay for long. I think I,d like to run it like a circle I think that it would be interesting maybe a meditation to start off with, to see if anything was picked up that way.
There,s a few places out-doors I,d like to try, local to me is a pathway were a number of people have experienced sitings, including time slips. My brother was one of these they were chased by a white energy about the size of a horse it followed them all the way til it reached a old stone bridge that is there, but came no farther. I been up there and havent seen anything although I did experience feelings of unease. Its on my to do list as well, there,s a lot of history connected to our local area as I,m sure there is in many.

Maybe something thats worth looking into .. I'd be curious to see someone who is sensitive to this stuff and how they'd react given the energy supposedly associated with these places.

Best one to start with would probably be "Marston moor" seeing as it's fairly close , but i'm not sure that some of your non outdoor types could hack it. :P

I'd like to do Marston Moor but mainly just to trawl round the battlefield. The only other civil war one I've done is Naseby.
