I have been recently talking to a guy who is the founder of a paranormal team and he and his team investigated this place about 2 months ago. A lot of teams have been to this place which is not in the north east.
He says the owner "John" set a lot of stuff up, he was seen going into a room and banging the door open and shut very hard to make dust then has quickly asked one of the group member to take a picture and they caught lots of dust etc! He then told them to take a picture of the large grandfather clock in the hall way as faces had been seen, they did this and saw what looked like a face he then took them all to a room to wait till the bar had closed he went for about 20 mins then came back and asked them to re take another pic of the grandfather clock they did and there was nothing there yet before they could see a face within the clock on the camera. An hr or so later a group member was walking past the clock and saw a sheet sticking out he thought maybe a member had lost it he picked it up and it was a picture of a face the same face which they could see on the pic. This pub charges

If that's true then it's Bl**dy terrible. I've read a lot about the Ancient Ram Inn, it did sound very active (a little too active at times), and was a place I would have loved to visit. I hope they brought it to the owners attention at the time and got their money back.

It's a bit fraudulent to charge people to investigate a haunted location if the phenomena is faked and should be regulated, but I suppose it's such a grey area in that you would have to prove that a property was haunted or not in order for there to be a case, and we all know how impossible that it.

thats annoying if it is happening, places like that actually make it harder for people to actually beleive what they are getting on camera etc

My mate was the one who blew this charade wide open. John has now launched an internet hate campaign against him . I'll see if I can find the link.

John is a well known frausdter. He always has a lot of young boys hanging out at his house, and there has been reports of you-know-what.

So at best John is a fraudster, at worst he is something way way worse.

it is frustrating when things like that happen - fraudsters etc and what is really bad is if the other stuff you have said is true

I have to admit I have been there, and whilst there, there was two young lads there kipping...

I had a great investigation there, but we marked down everything that John did, and constantly left someone on "john watch" LOL...

He is now charging

talk about pulling the "wool" over peoples eyes - boom boom!!

but yeah i would be pretty pissed if i'd paid to do an investigation, to be then fooled by the owners, i think the commercial pressure forces some themed locations to do this. at the end of the day they're a business wanting to make money - proberbly not bothered if the place is haunted or not. as long as it seems that way, people will come and spend their hard earned!! although was activity there in the first place, sparking the interest originally? i think people who want to do this should be exposed publicly then hung in the market square for crimes against the paranormal! - god im so sad!!

 :D
