I disliked the schooner. Nothing seemed to go on the times we investigated. The so called mediums were quite amusing though! They were falling around all over the place, grunting etc. EEEh it was hilarious.

when we did the schooner, there were mixed views on the place. me personally i was hoping for some physical activity, but nothing much happened, the only odd thing i can note would be a horrific smell of sulpher present in the early hours in room 29. although connected with paranormal activity, i'd put my money it being stagnant water in the radiators or something to that effect.
the evp did have voices which seamed to interact with what we asked although, as said before i think a huge chunk of whats happened over the last few year, could be the power of suggestion - regarding residents Ie, hearing seeing and feeling things, played on by the previous owners (as said before) publicity! which did go down in my report, as i couldnt help but feel that when i was there.

all that aside we did catch evidence, and your team also had very interesting experiences there on a couple of occasions. i believe it's haunted but maybe not to the extent as claimed.

I think that's a fair assessment.

I've said elsewhere - I've got the Schooner growing on me. But - only room 29 and only for 5 minutes on a given night!!

well jay, room 29 was certainly the strangest for me, aswell as the smell i had a broken bed too, it was that bad i had about an hours kip, went for my breakfast and went to sleep in 28 lol

it's thought rooms 28,29 and 30 were all joined when it was first built, although im not sure how much truth is in that. i found 29 pretty drab and eerie with 28 being the opposite. i cant comment on 30 as people were staying there, so i didnt get to see what it was like.

my money was always on the member of staff I bumped into on there who was sweating profusely and seemed keen on getting me out of that area asap. However you never 'know' unless you catch them doing it hehehehe!

Interesting you had a strange smell there Triplaw,I did too although mine was not sulphuric.
On one trip to the Fleece on of the bedrooms there had a stinky sulphuric smell which was found to be linked to the water in the bathroom.

What other things did you experience there?

not much tbh, i got one spike on my k2 which i couldn't connect to anything electrical, but even still nothing worth writing home about.
like i said before i was hoping for a little more physical activity, although the evp work came up trumps it still didn't blow me away.

i would go back like, might need to get some tips off spirit charmer jay and his dancing wardrobe lol 8)

by the way the current owner passed away last week :(

Thats a shame to hear about about Nigel passing away, he was ok he gave me a complimentary stay in room 29 as the time i previously booked was spoilt by pissheads, and he was also trying to cut back on all the drunken behaviour and unruly guests.

There's a piece about Nigel's death in the Northumberland Gazette, here is the link for anyone who wants to read it.

Thanks Blackster!

Aw thats such a shame!
Never met him but spoke to him several times on the phone when I was booking the Nov invo, had quite a long chat with him about his plans for the place and a few other things unrelated to the investigations, seemed a top bloke who I was looking forward to actually meeting.

Looks like he was really well thought of by everyone, such a shame!!!
