I know people will totally disagree with me but I found the 3 times I have been to the schooner rather boring. Yes I am a sceptic and maybe this is why. But the whole place is very dark and dingy especially the bedrooms and no the wonder people sit in these rooms and feel depressed. The Whole place has a weird Atmosphere and I believe its because of the dark and dingy rooms. I feel its very over rated but these are just my views.

the Schooner i believe is over rated and once u have been there a few times u tend to find out why people say it is. Loads of teams go there now and yea of cos u gotta admit its cos Mh has been there, but just my view, people have to go themselves and find out themselves.

I wouldnt put it past any place going around making it look like its haunted. Its been said but not yet proved that a few places we have investiagted have indeed done this (not mentioning no names yet until its been proved and footage looked at) esp if money is involved. It goes for certain groups as well making it look like a place is haunted wether money is involved or whatever. I just dont believe the schooner is haunted, i believe there is a lot of Psychology at play and the atmosphere but i could be wrong no one knows for sure. But must make it known to Everyone this is only my view as a Sceptic and as i have never experienced a thing the three times i have been to the Schooner hotel.

I must admit I have lost count of the times I have been to The Schooner (before MH LOL) and have had different experiences every time, some good some not so good. Luck of the draw I suppose.

One of the best was witnessing a bloke over 6ft being lifted off the floor and thrown across the kitchen.. Hmm.. even a hardened sceptic would be hard pushed to explian that one LOL..

But then on saying that as well, so many teams have done the schooner, and so many public events go on at the schooner... spirit must get fed up too LOL (if ya believe)...

It's a couple of years since I have been, reading between the lines here, I guess it's still a dump then LOL

PS: I don't believe the 60 ghosts hype either... I personally, my humble opinion, wouldn't say its the UK's most haunted hotel..

yep the schooner has its active nights n not so active nights -- as you say too many ppl go there ghost hunting -- me Id rather go where its never been done before or a long time since, as my thoughts are spirit will be desprate to talk to us if no-one has bothered with them in such a long time

I like the Schooner, as I have witnessed paranormal activity there, and so have my family.

I just think that the owners are allowing far too many ghost investigations. I know for a fact that it is haunted, but during the last couple of visits there, I have felt fine unlike my visits beforehand.

I think that the best way to investgate the Schooner, would be in small numbers, say two in a room at each time.

I just hope that one day we will return, & see what we can pick up in the Breakfast Room downstairs, when the owners are in bed !

Personally, I think that it would be a good idea if only 10 of us go there next time, pay
