Re: what makes a 'good' medium?
Hmmm that's a tricky one. As I'm still a bit undecided on the whole medium thing anyway I would have to say that it is someone who I can get along with and that seems to give good advice (whether it is from the spirit world or not).
I can't stand flowery love and light stuff but that's just me, I prefer a straight talking medium and one that isn't afraid to answer questions. I also like it when you can have an intelligent debate with one without it turning into a playground slagging match. I can't prove that they are not talking to the dead, and until I can I will offer them respect (if they deserve it) but at the same time they should respect the fact that I cannot bring myself to blindly go along with everything they say.

or possibly one who has the guts just to say they not getting anything in some locations rather than going off on a tangent randomly and spouting some garbage to stay the centre of attention.

Re: what makes a 'good' medium?
hmmm...........a dead one????hehehehehehehehhehhhhhehehe only kidding hehehehehehhhehe xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
For me personally: 1. its one that I dont have to have anything to do with regarding thier 'mediumship' hehehehe!
2.When organising invos its someone whos practical and reliable.
3.Someone who's interesting to talk to about their views, and doesnt stink of 'development' circles and churches. And one who refuses to do 'messages' ideally!
But as people seem to want mediums, what I'd say a good medium for others is someone who is skilled at reading people and situations ,is empathic and can show people how to help themselves, and discourage further 'spirit communication' as much as possible!
For invos someone who comes, explains what they get as clearly as possible and would rather be used as a 'tool' than have the investigation centred around them.

Re: what makes a 'good' medium?
correct.....we all read each other all of the time (and make assumptions based on that, the map is not the territory and all that hehehehe!)...........and you always go the extra mile.....or million in everything you do Pam (thats a compliment!).....but is that what mediums do.....do they take that 'reading' to another 'dimension...???Or are they just badly trained (usually!) or naturally talented at reading people full stop?

Re: what makes a 'good' medium?
from my point of veiw, i belive that alot of people are born with some form of extreme sencativity, alot with some, and most with only a bit, those born with alot of whatever it is , over sensitive minds? pick up more, tap in to whatever is around them, call it acute esp, or what ever, but dont you think that its strange that as kids we all have the same ability , then loose it as we grow older?

Re: what makes a 'good' medium?
maybe thinking patterns are formed which disengage the concious awareness of it? I think we all take in and pick up everything about everything,we all recieve interpret and transmit it seems to be fundementally agreed upon......so therefore we do what is exactly right for us at the time according to whatever 'governs' that in us..........

Re: what makes a 'good' medium?
As I have said from the outset I do not class myself as a medium but as an empathic sensitive in that I pick up on feelings, physical states althoiugh do pick up gender and sometimes words. As claire is aware from a recent pvt visit I can be very strongly affected by these and occasionally can do transfig. Have had no training tho I think sometimes it could be useful
