Eddie had some at the Keep last time he was out with us....I had a look at them,we were stood on bit which leads to the 'stairs to nowhere' looking down into the Great Hall as the guests were arriving and he and his lot were using them then!
I gotta say I was very impressed, although I think you'd have to get used to using them to be accurate etc but they were saying they'd been somewhere doing an invo with their group and Eddie picked up on a spirit in a certain area and the thermal imager also picked up on a shape in the exact area, and I think they said it moved when Eddie said the spirit did (although I might have gotten the last bit wrong about it moving,it was ages ago!)
But what I saw impressed me!!!
Until they said the price..................

A thermal imaging camera is great if you can afford one (ask me later if you want one) Boom Boom,
All that one of those do, correct me if i'm wrong is pick up fluctuations in temperatue and show them on camera.
Why not get yoursef an environment meter (i cannot understand and asks how it works) for cheaper actually less then 60 quid.

Would you fork out Trip if you had the cash, do you think they would be relevant/useful etc?

Yeah sure. I think some of the evidence captured on these things has been pretty good although it's always backed up with a secondary device of some kind. sometimes I think it's not always great when diffing shapes in some cases but the good out ways the bad in my opinion. capturing a heat signature of people who are simply not there, is pretty special in my opinion - providing it can be backed up with other video footage.

I know when Eddie was showing us his (oooh er missus!) at the Keep ages ago he showed how you had to be careful you didn't get other heat sources which you 'misinterpreted' with them,as he demonstrated with Jay.
