A lovely, if expensive place to visit.
As with a lot of places of this ilk, a shame that you have to do the 'tour' and are not given time to explore at leisure or form your own opinions forst.......but can see the reasons behind it and the tour guide we had was canny and did a good job!(much better than the one who took us around the vaults, wonder if thats why I like MKC better than the vaults......but I digress!)

Anyone been here, either as a trip or an invo - thoughts, feeling, experiences etc?????

aw spawny Abaddon, I love Edinburgh, bet you cant wait!!!!!

I've done a few of the tours, gotta say my fave was the City of the Dead Greyfriars/Covenenters prison, thought the lad who did it was ace and I love that place anyway, day or night, tour or not tour, top views, lots of history and gorgeous archetecture all around as well as the 'Mackenzie polt' thing to wonder about!

I was disappointed with the vaults though, cant remember which one it was I went in though, seems there are 2,but MKC I thought was lovely,my daughter took a doll to leave in the 'shrine' thing, and I've gotta say that I did find that somewhat emotional..........however that was prob more to the fact that is struck me as poignant a little girl leaving one of her best dolls for another little girl, even if that other little girl doesnt exist and its complete shite it was real to my daughter and I had a lump in me throat at the time.............gulp.......hehehehe!!!!

Cant wait to read your blogs Abaddon, have you read Lees on his site,he blogged his visit on there, interesting stuff!
