Id really like someone to investigate this building.
From what ive been told by family members and local legends, this building is extremely haunted. It dates back several hundreds years, and was the manor house of the local lord.
From a date im unsure about up to around 1940 it was used as a Social Club, only to be relocated 15 metres away.
I know it was used as a YMCA until around 2000. Now, I'm unsure what its used for, I think business.
My grandma took part in a ghost hunt in Houghton Hall with several others when it was a YMCA.
She experienced few. Such as hearing weights being used upstairs, and her walking sticks being thrown across a room.
I was told the owner around a hundred years ago murdered a servant girl believed to be pregnant with his child, and buried her in a spot less than a quarter of a mile away. Apparantly she was thrown from an upper window. Theres rumours also, of a "white lady" appearing at windows on the top floor.
I am very intrigued about the history of this building and its previous owners. I dont own any equipment id need to investigate, so im asking for your help.
I have three pictures of the building but the files are too big.
please get in touch
