I was asked if I would go and help a freinds freind. I agreed.
When I arrived at the location the person seemed to be overwhelmed that I was there.
I asked what the problem was and I was told the norm, floors creeking, steps being heard, voices etc.
I wrote it all down as well as taping it and went to do a bit of research.
Nothing untoward I could find.
I went the followinig evening to do baseline tests, get a feeling for the place before the nexts nights investigation.
Everything was duly noted and recordered.
The night came and I starting hearing things, strange things. I asked the person if they had heard it too, Yes came the reply.
I decided to seal a room off, contained was a trigger object (an old key).
What the occupant didn't relise, I had placed a camera within and a black bin bag sprinkled with flour within the room.
When later I went in the room the key had moved. Who, What had moved it.
The evidence went straight down the stairs, into the kitchen right next to the kettle.
It was the occupant.
Why had she done this I asked, the reply I was lonley. A night not wasted in my eyes, but a bit of company I had given this person.
If like me, try not to get stung this way. It is hard not to do so, but believe me, dig a lot deeper than I did on that case.

An interesting tale there pikie ... and sadly, there are people in the world who do like to make things up just for a bit of attention. They are there in all walks of life and in many different subjects and we always have to be vigilant ...

Awwww its a shame there are people out there that need to do this kind of thing because there lonely.

Im glad you went round and gave her a few hours company even if it didnt turn out to be anything.

Good on ya.

You could very nearly say the same about a private investigation i went on not so long ago.
But for the fact that 5 of us smealt burning flesh at just around midnight!
That alone couldnt be proved, or logically explained. There was absolutly no reason for us smelling it.
But it was there, not an electrical smell either. It was like burning hair. If you smoke then youll know what i mean when i say about the times when youve lit your ciggie and you set fire to your eyebrow or hair, LOL
Sounds funny but the smell is totally unique. Thats the smell we had on our investigation.
The strange thing was it was there for quite a while then totally disappeared and then shortly after it had gone it came back!
It was localised at the centre of the front room, no where else.

It was totally fascinating and unexplainable even though we thoroughly explored every posibility.
