Hi everyone .....Thanks for having me last night, yeah had a fab night with you all, was nice to meet up with everyone again, and I got to see some new faces too. :)
I will do a write up of the event soon, although i wont be able to upload any photos, because sometime inbetween me getting home and waking back up, our house got broke into and the camera was one of the things they took!!!!
Anyway, it was an interesting night, the guests in our group did really well, they wernt afraid to call out, and didnt mind trying out the pendulums and glass tests etc, some of them heard bangs and taps, and a lot of them picked things up with their senses too, so well done. :)

Pollen: it was interesting that we both picked up on the same man in the same building, and yeah the rain was a bit odd, it sounded like it was raining pretty heavy but when Jay went out to check it was only spitting, if that!

Oh No Heidi!!!!You got broke into when you were in?Thats awful......and a lot of other words I wont put on here but I'm sure you'll get the gist of em.....**** ******** ***** ******** ** ******.
Hope they didnt take too much,or leave a mess....******** *****!

Yeah...I was dead shocked when you described that man...and I'd not mentioned the 'cap' to my group either!!!!!!!!
The rain was mad.I went out 3 times to check this when we were in the main hanger....cos it sounded as though it was bouncing off the roof, but when I went out once it was slightly spitting, even not spitting really, more a bit of it blowing about...the other 2 times I went out there was no sign of it 'spitting even'...but in the hanger it sounded like a torrential downpour!

Hey,any other stuff you got,any feedback feel free to stick it on here...its good to get all different perspectives!
I've done our team report which will be on the main website once all the reports are submitted, but it would be good to get your take on it all...you can pm me it if you dont want to put it on here!Esp how you felt during the seance and in the workshop (breathing) etc! What you thought about the door flying open in hanger 1,as you were the nearest to it...the rest of us were down the other end I think,so only heard it!

Thanks for having me at NEAM. I had a great time and it was good to meet the NGI members who I had not seen before. I've got a couple of interesting photos which I'll download tomorrow for you to have a look at. :D

That can happen alot though Pollen.
Ive been in several hangers over the years for one reason or another and when it rains even if its only lightly it can sound like a torrential downpour.
Its cos most hangers have a corregated "tin" roof, which will make it sound like its hoolying it down even when its jsut a light shower.

Its actually quite scary when it is throwing it down cos it sounds horrendous!

Is that information based on good guess work Andrea or do you know something that is being kept from everyone else, surely you arn't suggesting that the venue is faking any phenomena are you.
That's very bad news for Neam if they are

No I think she is saying that the experiences are the same, not sure about the roof, but the EMF will be picking up wiring/current in the same places theres power cables etc.

The roof could just be loose I guess, perhaps theres stones on the roof getting moved around in the breeze or if its a curved roof the very shape of it will amplify any noise anyway. I dunno, but I have heard a few people say that the NEAM is not haunted in anyway and the people involved are just cashing in. I've never been so I cant say either way, just rumours I keep hearing from different people.

Perhaps its just hysteria, peoples eyes playing trick on them in the dark. Lets face it around aircraft, if you believe in ghosts you are going to see pilots, its a no brainer really. Some people look for spirits in every single place they go, perhaps its possible that there are none and the belief in spirit is clouding judgement.

Its easy for me to say that the experiences of others are easily explained away, whilst I describe myself as a scepitcal believer, I will only conclude somehtign is paranormal once I have discounted all other possibilities and I am sorry but the human eyesight in darkness when people expect there to be ghosts is NOT reliable. Imagination takes over. Last week I thought I saw an orb with my own eyes, then I realised what it was......my mind playing tricks on me. I was in total darkness, how could I see anything other than vague shapes?

Nope not guess work at all, i wont dribble on but ive spent some time there not just investigating and learning quite a bit about the place. Yes i do thing some going-on's there is fake it is common knowledge. Most stuff can be explained and has been explained. But its like everything else people will believe its haunted some will believe its not its a personal view.

No idea about the layout of the hangars there but I work in a hangar every day and the heavy rain sound is a common occurrence. Even this morning in fact, when it was hot and sunny, it was just the water moving through the pipes and the radiators in the hangar roof but sounds very much like rain or hailstones.

Ooooh!Thats interesting Scipios.....it will get checked out....

Andrea - no,it sounded as scipios described, def not just a few bangs and it was heard in 3 different hangers by many people...but it will get checked out anyway!

I dont know if it is haunted or fake or what....but I know nothing was fake when we were there, and whether I'm mad or not,I felt enough things to make me want to go back personally...cos to me thats what 'investigatings' all about!!!!

But then again maybe it's haunted!

One of the hangars still has evidence of shrapnel damage from when the airfield was bombed during the war. Lives were lost of course so maybe they're still roaming the airfield.

The sound though is, unfortunately, 20th century pipework.

Ive been there when its been raining and when it wasnt Raining.
The Roof is like a metal and it was explained to me that it actually moves like a vibration does and that what the sounds are. This has been Proved there. So most will say it is the noise of stones which has been thrown and as far as im aware it isnt, but as i always say i keep open minded about it and no one knows for sure.
