Looks like snow / ice to me .. but thats an obvious answer given its white and all the snow we've had lately.

You researching Nessie cos you're making a visit up there?

First impression looks like a bit of ice, as I said - but the article was posted late November - so its probably not Ice from the latest cold snap - certainly with no snow on the hills.

But I don't know about Nessie - probably nothing there .. After all these years of people looking - and with all the modern technology they've applied, I think they would have found something by now with the Loch being a finite size - albeit, large. I don't buy into the "caves, tunnels and caverns on the bottom" as a reason nothing has been found - to me thats just an attempt to explain why nothing has been found.

Does Nessie swim through the water and say : Och! Nay! Thim beasties ba using sonar agen! Och! Best dive forrrrrrrrr me tunnels agen!

Ahhh .. but so many pictures claiming to be Nessie which shows it breaking the water like something physical would ..

I won't argue with you - but thats then claiming the tunnels and caverns are the reason for not finding anything. Can come up with explanations for no evidence, forever.

Hmm could be ice but equally could be 3 separate creatures surfacing and diving one after another? Dont know whether its possible but seals or small whales?

Apparently the 'humps' were visible for 4 mins.

Could something that was not actually physical still affect the physical. I would say there is a chance.

Possibly, but I'd tend to think that something that affects the physical as though it was physical and can be seen to be physical would, simple Occams Razor thinking, be physical.

.... Can't believe I'm using Occams Razor ... I must be getting cynical in my old age ..

The amount of times 'arch skeptics' use the term 'Occams Razor' is incredible. I think they assume it makes them sound clever or something.

I do tend to agree with you about the physical affecting the physical but Nessie is real I tell you...REAL!!!!!

Simple experiment for you when you go visiting ..

Hire a boat .. get fishing rod .. buy haggis .. attach said haggis to rod .. get in boat .. take boat to center of loch .. dangle haggis in water .. wait .. note results

Now THATS scientific for ya .. !

Exactly - nobody could accuse you of being a wishy-washy believer then - You'll have done science stuff and either proved or disproved it ..
