Well, there may well be as there seem to have been many sightings of Big cats I understand.

I've personally seen a big cat cross my path on salisbury plain many moons ago...it's all very interesting stuff to hear/read/watch about. No definitive answers, but I read a good book by Merrily Harpur that looked at it from different angles. It's called Mystery Big Cats.

The conclusion was that they may be paranormal in nature, but not actually exist (If I remember correctly). Although there seems to be some evidence of some actual big cats, the amount of sightings and their validity suggests that if they were all real, we would probably know about it on a trip to the countryside..!

 Well....it was all a bit surreal in that it was dark, we were driving along (brother and me) and this creature ran across in front of the car. We didn't have to brake, but it was close enough to be picked up in the headlights. It was on a bendy section of road, so not going too fast..

We both were a little startled, because it looked like a cat, and ran like a cat, but was bigger than your standard tabby..! I would say it was about as big as a labrador, but slimmer and we both said 'What was that?' and both thought it was a big cat, like a cougar, and maybe around a similiar size..

I've no doubt that there are genuine flesh and blood big cats living wild in Britain today.

I would agree. The question is, what are they, and how many? Maybe one day we will get some definitive answers..
