Northern Ghost Investigations are very happy to have been invited to investigate 'The Black Gate' in Newcastle tonight. If the stories about the place are to be believed we should be in for in an interesting evening.

We got a few names, was very rowdy outside (as for drunken Newcastle people walked around) so illiminating a lot of noise due to them. The other group though seemed to of got table tipping, light bulbs moving and all sorts.

I did pick up on a lady upstairs called Sally who died around her early 40's, she was abused by her partner and he finally killed her. talked to 2 ladies afterwards who left the group as the male spirit must of got close

Well Angie picked up on her stuff mentioned above, which all needs checking but other than that we didn't have anything tangible occur. Still got the audio and video to go through so you never know.

The 'other group' that Angie mentioned was nothing to do with NGI

I am actually going through footage of the night and could of caught a voice on my dicta-phone, still need to get together with NGI to confirm this ;) as it could be Dok or Jay, so cannot guarentee it was someone else's voice yet. I am typing up a report as we speak

I look forward to hearing it. I've been lazy and not done mine yet.

I used to research in there when I was a member of the society of Antiquaries - the library was then on the second or was it third floor.

It's certainly a grim, dark building...had a feeling of someone leaning over the shoulder looking (as it were) while I was reading and making notes,

but by and large never thought of it as being haunted.

did you ever get to the bottom of the voice on the dictaphone ??

I'm not sensitive to stuff in any way shape or form but tend to get a feeling about a place when I enter none the less. The Black Gate? Nothing. As far as I was concerned there was nothing to it other than just another old building.
