It nearly wasn't as there seems to have been some confusion over which night we were supposed to be in there, but it was sorted out and we got down to investigating stuff.

I think Bob was quite bemused by most of it, as was the cat.

Shroedinger was just looking for a way to get in the box of tricks I think. Of course we're presuming he was a real cat, he might have still been in his box its hard to tell... alive or dead? maybe the free firing photon was what Mark caught in his orb photo.

I think I got one of those free firing photons in my eye, didn't half make it water!

Next steps on Red Lion.

1) Speak to the barmaid thats been ther 20 years and see if her stories fit with anything we got.
2) record her for the podcast.
3) get reports written.
4) Get copies to Bob and post them on the forum
5) Get the podcast online.

sorry if some of this should be in NGI chat but I thought Mr Strange should be included as some of it involves the radio folk.

By the way Phibes did you get the photo's off your phone that you were given by blue tooth from that guy at the bar? I'd love to see them.

Just got to sort a few things out today, I'll get my backside into the station and start editing tomorrow, should have it done by the end of the week. I'll see if I can grab hold of the station's mac as that has a better bit of editing software on it that will help upping the volume where it's needed.

Nice one. Are you ok with arranging a meet up with the barmaid as you are the most familiar with the pub John? If not, I will do it but I'm going to need some contact details and a name.

Those pics are still on my phone. I'll get them off ether tomorrow or the day after and post them on here asap.

I'm going to be in there 2mrrw night so I'll see if I can get a contact number for her or find out when she's working so we can chat to her. It might be easier if I do it cos then I can take Shaun over on another day with recording equipment. Of course the downside is that I'm going to know stuff about the place that maybe I should be kept in the dark about but I suppose the invos over.

Of course someone might want to write a list of questions for her or something. The more merrier for me if anyone wants to come and meet her.

Well I can head over pretty much any time during the week, so whenever is most convenient. I'll sort out the recorder and bring it over so we can sit down and get some interesting info recorded.

I'm sure she'll be ok about things even if she just doesn't want to give her name.

Here are my thoughts on the kind of info we want from her. You will have thought of most of them anyway.

• A detailed description of what she has experienced and how many times she has witnessed something in the building.

• Was she aware of the 'haunting' prior to her experience?

• Has she managed to find out any info as to who or what the 'ghost' is?

• How did the experience make her feel?

• How long has she worked in the pub?

• To her knowledge has anyone else experienced anything similar in the building?

and what about:

1) does she know of any history of the location that fits with what she has witnessed?
2) Has she tried to communicate with the 'spirits' herself? If so what happened.

hopefully these aren't leading questions.

Theres got to be more. Have we not got an eye witness form sorted? I had a feeling that Abbaddon had set one up, or did Claire do it? I really can't remeber.

I can't remember either but it is a good idea if we do some and keep them on file. I did one for a specific Poltergeist case a year or so ago but a lot of the questions wouldn't really be apt in this case. I've pulled out a few more that may be useful though.

• What makes you think it is the 'ghost'?

• What time does most activity occur?

• Have you tried to record any of the phenomena?

• Have you given the 'ghost' a name?

• How do you feel about mediums/exorcims at this moment in time?

• Have you or anyone else tried to stop the phenomena?

• Have you had any publicity to do with the phenomena?

• Are you religious in any way?

The time question could be leading and asking them to consider the question and presume that there should be a time that its most active.

maybe if it was something like:

Does the phenomenon take place at all times of the day?

they can say, 'no, it happens at night' or 'no it takes place between 9.30 and 3pm.'

Maybe my question is still leading.

Yeah, I agree, questions should be as 'open' as possible. I'm sure these can be tweeked though.

Maybe we should start a thread in NGI chat for all the members to brainstorm a definitive list for future investigation interviews? That is of course if it hasn't been done already. If so, can someone point me in the direction of it as I can't seem to find it.

Questions should be posed too to try and determine the witnesses relationship with the activity so although it may seem a daft one, asking about whether or not they've given the ghost a name or not would certainly help us to gauge whether they view it as hostile or friendly.

Maybe when we draw up a list of questions we should also state something for our own files of what answers we would expect and then how to interpret them, as obviously a poltergeist is not necessarily a haunted phenomena its an attention seeking kid chucking plates about. There was fantastic footage of a kid doing just that on an episode of Arthur C Clarke.

One of my fave shows. I have all of 'Mysterious World on DVD'.

Good idea though John. We could have various options such as if they answer 'Yes' for question 3 then go to question 4, if they answer 'no' then follow it up with question 7.

I reckon Iain Jae would help us to do this, he's the best person I think to make sure that everything is correct to language use as obviously he asks leading questions for his mentalism.
