The Castle stands on a steep sided promontory overlooking the River Tyne. It is a readily defensible site which has been occupied for nearly 2000 years. Flint flakes and a stone axe head found in archaeological excavations hint at prehistoric activity.

From the mid 2nd century until the beginning of the 5th century a Roman fort

Hehe .. yeah, it was good .. too many bloody stairs tho. I think what was strange about The Keep was that half of the groups seemed to get some activity .. while the other half got absolutley nothing.

Luckily, I was in a the good half ..

Maybe it was the fact that there was just too many people there and maybe an idea to head back there sometime next year - team only.

If we're going to do it again, then it would be best to leave it a while - wouldn't want to keep going back to the same whole haunts over and over and so soon

Hey .. same old haunts geddit??

I suppose the DVD is a nice touch depending on how well it is done. Plus the food. But buffets are as cheap or as expensive as you like.

tc :)

The Castle keep is over rated same as quite a few other places which is "suppose" to be haunted.

I found the Keep to be fine to be honest - yes, the charity lot we had in with us didn't help - but in the moments where they were quiet there was breathing, ghostly laughs, the odd voice if I remember and a few moving shadows .. enough to make me want to go back some day ..
