The Copt Hill Inn Public House is situated in the heart of Houghton le spring, which is a small village on the outskirts of Sunderland. The Copt Hill has a main bar area, A small bar and Restaurant and a Function Room, we would be investigating all these rooms. It has been said and Witnessed that some customers have actually seen what they describe as dangling legs and feet from the main bar area ceiling, this is supposed to be the Spirit of a Former Landlord who took his own Life.

I used to live in the NE but not any more but I like to see what goes on in local areas of sentimental interest and I used to go there as a kid sometimes, my late mother always said it was haunted (apparently) and I suppose it was a bit creepy, did dick turpin not stop off there or summat? The place always fascinated me as a kid as the countryside was always nice round a bout on a nice summer day.
