Has anyone ever been really scared on a paranormal investigation? I must confess that I never have, although Carol did make me jump last month when she kept screaming out at the factory we were investigating. I would love to be scared, as I miss that feeling I used to get when I was little after watching a horror movie, but I guess I'm too much of a brave bastard now. I usually fluctuate between being very bored and excited on investigations.

Only once on our first visit to Bowes Railway (barring the odd jumpy moment which is more surprise).

Walking down to the Blacksmiths after hearing a metal on metal noise from there and knowing it was empty. Got 10 foot from the door and just hit a wall of "something" .. Really energetic .. felt the pressure from it and dare I say the power inside it .. Always felt if it had a voice it would be shouiting "GET THE FUCK AWAY!".

That scared me and it took a lot of courage reserves to push through it and go to the door and open it ..

Must admit, I get scared a lot.

Then I am often just as scared of the living, it really depends on the person themselves, dead or alive, if they give of an intimidating atmosphere, they scare me, that thing in the mezzy at the keep scares me and the guy in the attic at the tontine scares me, but then theres certain living people that scare me too (Expecially the 98 year old woman from our local church, who whispers curses at me and gives me evil eyes whenever I pass her.)

I would Pam, But usually she is sitting there knitting, and I'm sure she has sharpened those knitting needles just in case I get too close, she's freaky, she sits on the bench outside the church knitting in all weathers. However she did move once (Quite fast actually) When I passed her one day to cut through the graveyard when I was about 14 and asked her "You not dead yet?" She jumped up like she'd sat on her own knitting needle and as I didn't fancy beeing stabbed with those said knitting needles, I'm afraid to admit I did run, tripping over a few gravestones on the way, scared the old hag would catch me an murder me alone in a catholic graveyard, (Just not how I pictured my final moments)
