How do the rest of you feel about having a go at creating a ghost some time like they did with the famous 'Philip Experiments'?

Reading that sounds very much like going along the thought-form path and I guess it is one explanation for the possibility of ghosts existing. I often say we create the reality the believe and so giving "life" to a ghost like this can make it "real".

Hey, I'm up for anything - so count me in! :D

yep I know this is possible and I believe it can be how the ouija board thing works at times etc. I think funnily eonogh theres something linked to the fleece which has this kind of thing around it too.....thats why its 'low level' and 'lost'.....its not been properly developed and knows no more....only what it knows etc....however it is good at what it knows....if that makes sense?
I'm rambling now sorry!
Yep I know this is possiblle...the only thing which worries me about this though is is it a nice thing to do?
What do you do with the 'ghost' etc.
I wouldnt want something like there is at the Fleece, thats mean. I think a lot of low level shit you see on a street level etc has been done by this by people not even realising they've done it etc......I think these are the true 'lost souls' if that makes sense.

We do create our own reality ........
Like I said theres a lot in the pendulum/rapping/noises stuff to em which mediums and certain individuals seem to be able to produce almost at will etc...and whilst they seem to think its a variety of spirits I htink with certain people they have created thier own 'guide' or 'spirit' through doing this inadvertantly etc.
To what purpose would be be creating this 'ghost'.....and er...what would be do with it 'afterwards'?
Tulpas are very interesting...............

Well I think that the reason for doing something like this would be just to prove to ourselves that it can be done. If we are successful, and it starts to take on a life of its own there are all sorts of experiments we could try. Whether it is 'cruel' or not is a different matter. I suppose it depends on how we individually view thought forms. Couldn't we build in the fact that it is very happy being where it is when we attempt to create it. I vote we go for a talking mongoose called 'Gef'. :D

I'm quite keen to actually try this before too long. I am going to create a fictional character with a tragic and rich history, and then with a group of willing NGI volunteers who have familiarised themselves with the characters history, attempt to make contact with this person over the course of a series sittings in a traditional victorian seance environment.

If your going to create this character - I'd actually have it done publicly with the people involved in the experiment being part of the creation so that they have something invested in it and get a proper "feeling" for the character. When its somebody elses creation then there is no real link between it and others.

If so, then I'll create a specific place for the experiment and lock it off so only the people involved can post (so nothing can interfere with the process).

That's a really good idea Jay, if you could do that it would be fantastic. I agree that the more time and effort people put into creating this character, the better the chance that there will be some positive results. All I would say that anyone wanting to be involved in this experiment should at least be open the the possibility that there is a chance that it could work (no matter how remote) as I think that this is the key to something of this nature.

3 main parts to it ..

Intention - a specific description of what your doing, how and why
Emotion - the emotional connection to what you create
Belief - not only a belief in it will work but a belief in the character - he / she IS real.

If there is anything lacking in any of those then it won't work. So yeah, as you say - people who want to get involved can't have any doubts.

Excellent! Ok then who's up for this? I think we're going to need at least 4 people, then we can start talking about our very own 'ghost'.

Here's another link to a site that explains the experiment that we are going to try and replicate just so everyone is clear on the matter.

Our 'creating a ghost area' is looking good Jay. I like all the rules that you have put in place. I will let you know if I can think of any more. I suggest we set the ball rolling on Monday. In the meantime people should start thinking about the kind of 'ghost person' that they would like to 'create'.
