Anyone been taken in by a chinese lantern?

My family and I watched one for about 20 minutes over Crook in County Durham. We were quite enthralled and had no idea what it was. We came to the conclusion that it was the flame on a hot air balloon, but couldn't work out why anyone was flying at night in this thing.

I wanted it to be a UFO I have to be honest.

Kath and I saw another one going over the Camperjam festival in Stafford last summer and couldn't work out why everyone else was ignoring it. We put it down to the same thing as the one we saw over Crook.

Now its obvious that both were chinese lanterns.

I've just bought 2 Chinese Lanterns and am going to release them on Valentines night. Look out for UFOs over Fairfield stories in the news the day or so after.

Is that all!!!

We should launch some over Fylingdales when we go over the moors on the magical mystery tour. You never know the ministry of defence may bomb France immediately after the launch, it'd be brilliant.

It would be better just merely suggesting the MOD bomb France, the least effort put in on our part the better.

No need for "prompting" - being French is all the excuse needed! Reminds me of the old saying : France is Gods country - sadly he made the mistake of filling it with French people.
