Impressive to say the least .. shame tho it rarely shows the craft in context .. but, good none-the-less and can even make out beings inside ..

This looks like a combination of different things. The beginning is probably just the ISS ( International Space Station ) going overhead. I have made videos of it myself and they look the same. The semi-circular thing looks like something stationary and out of focus that only seems to be moving because of camera shake. Then they have a "mirage" of lights over the horizon across the water. That could be many different kinds of lights just being affected by the "towering" caused by mirages under these conditions. I once saw a crescent Moon rise off the horizon this way and it nearly scared me because it looked so strange. I couldn't recognize it until it cleared that layer of air that causes these mirages. These lights don't seem to be moving and could be some kind of lights near the horizon in the distance.

if its genuine then thats a top bit of footage Jay!
The 'beings' thing well that could be anything....yep it looks like figure shaped things but then so can anything seen like that, not saying its not,it could be but it also could be anything and we see it as 'beings' cos we want to!
very interesting tho....
Snowlord I'd be interested to see your pics of the ISS and the moon when it scared you cos it looked so odd,can you post em!

Well part of the issue with this is that its never really seen in context with anything .. most of the clips (barring the lights which Snowy mentioned on the horizon) are immediate close ups and for all we know we could just be looking at something drawn on a wall as the cameraman shakes the camera around!

If its genuine, yeah, it looks good - but we'd need to see the entire footage of it to see the zoomed out shots, how they located the objects (they look very dark and so would be tricky to make out with the naked eye against the dark sky) and then the zooming in of them.

thats why I dont bother with UFO footage really...theres so much of it out there and I dont know if its genuine or not!
jUST REMINDED ME....oops caps lock, Anne might be able to send me her footage from her phone to my phone...ooooh excellent I'm off to ask her!!!
She cant do pc's but she can do phones......my phone can do vid stuff so maybe we might get somewhere now!!!
I know at the time she filmed this she was talking on the phone to me about what she was seeing and she had seen these before and just not managed to vid em.
Not saying they are aliens (UFO's....aa bird can be a UFO if u cant identify it hehehe!) however its def interesting footage and its def genuine whatever it is!

Jay is right ... you need context, you need reference points.

I don't have a picture of the moon mirage event, but here are a couple brief video clips of the International Space Station going overhead a few weeks ago.

The station was traveling in a perfectly straight line, so any side to side movement is just a combination of camera movement and optical illusion. Also it was a steady light, so any flickering or pulsing is just an artifact of the poor video quality ( from my compact digital camera ).

Going past the overhead power lines ...

A close up ...

And a clip of an airplane going low over the neighbor's house ... just for comparison ...

For the space station - you can get a run-down somewhere of its schedule as it passes over and so stick the camera pointing up at the right time and place and there you go!

If you log into a site like this one, and enter your location data, it will tell you when, and where, to look for things like this.

http://www.heavens-above.com/

You just pick the satellite or space station or space shuttle or whatever that you want to look at and go out and look up when ( and where ) it tells you to. Very easy.

I guess my point would be that someone who made a video of this without knowing what it actually was might honestly think that they had caught a UFO on camera. If you go out and look at one of the Iridium flares ( they are listed on that site ) it will look like the space station clip, but will get suddenly VERY bright in the middle of it's flight path and then die off again. Many people have reported this as a definite UFO sighting on several of the forums I have been on because they think a satellite or airplane won't do something like that. But some satellites do.

I could have tried the other things on the original video but my little camera doesn't have enough zoom to get good mirage shots out over the water. And I don't have a car to get out there at the moment anyway. But I will try to get something like that, if I can, when the opportunity arises.
