Is it just me or does everyone seem to claim that people either grow a moustache and/or beard and get 'older' during a transfiguration session?

Not at all, people do change through transifuration. I know one time at Busby Stoop with Carmen, she sat behind the candle and I challenged the spirit (possibly thomas) that was close to Carmen at the time and I just called him names and basically called him tight. The anger that was shown was interesting and a deffinate not a Carmen look

I've not seen it myself but I've been there where other people have claimed to see people's face change. Every time we've tried to film it happening the persons face remains the same too. Why do you think this is?

Not sure, maybe it is our imagination altering the way we or someone else looks. I've tried this, and it does throw up some weird apparitions, but like you say they all seem to have extra features like beards etc. It's very interesting, but until there is some hard evidence I would put it down to us imagining facial changes. That said it seems very easy to get caught in the moment and believe someone is changing, especially if someone is suggesting changes that are happening, and people watching see that too.

Not sure how that can be evidential, unless everyone keeps quiet and writes down what they see and it could be compared afterwards. So if everyone had written down the same or very similiar changes that could be seen as a form of evidence to suggest people were seeing the same things?

thats a great idea Mark ;) I believe that once one person says 'i see a beard' then everyone probably will follow suit and say 'ahh yea, I see that too.'

from what ive seen and coming to my own conclusions its just caused by the fact you are staring hard at that person and the flickering of the candle causes shadows that your mind automatically attributes as a change in a face. when i have done it i have seen changes, but its the same things everytime, eyes seem dark, beard or tash or both but as soon as i blink or look away for a second its back to normal, untill i start staring again for a few mins, and my eyes start struggling to focus and the shadows caused by the candle start looking like beards again.

if that person was physically changing a camera would pick it up, and so far its never happened for me anyway.

its nothing but an entertainment trick to keep the public happy,

We've never had anything show up on camera either.

I agree that it's an interesting thing to keep the troops happy and providing they are given alternative explanations for what could be happening then what's the harm I suppose.

If you stare at anything long enough it changes. I don't see anything at all beneficial about staring at ones self in a mirror and you take on an image of a dead person.

I know at Busby Stoop, Carmen was not faking anything, everyone watched her snarling at me all the time when I started with the name calling

yea thats true, I was just in charge with the 'speaking to Carmen/Thomas' rather then getting recording. Wounder if spirit seekers got any recordings on you tube, now that might be a possibility

It would indeed. In fact if you can find any compelling transfig footage I would love to see it if you post the link.
