Hey everyone,

I have just joined this forum with the northern ghost investigator group. I am 23 ( 24 next month!!!!) and a serving member of the Royal Navy as a meteorology and oceanographic specialist. I have always been interested in the paranormal and have participated in a number of investigations. I think the best of the bunch has to be Lincoln Prison, Alton Towers and Woodchester Mansion.
I am a believer, there are things i have seen and heard that can't be rationally explained however i do keep level headed and most certainly not someone who jumps and screams at any knock and bang thinking it is a spirit. I think my experience in the Navy has made me in to a tough cookie!! Haha!!
I am due 2 weeks leave start of April so will be around the Durham area... any suggestions on places I should visit? Also, i love hearing experiences other people have been through so please feel free to let me know!!

Hope to hear from you all soon,

Emma :)

Welcome aboard Emma (welcome aboard .. geddit??) .. I won't ask what a "meteorology and oceanographic specialist" is as it sounds way too technical for me so I'll just remember you as the one who "drives boats" .. that'll do. :)

Haha I hate to dissapoint you but i dont drive the ships... i am basically a weather woman and like to analyse the sea and advise the Navy command on how they can take advantage of certain environmental situations. It's not that bad... I guess you could remember me as a "geeky aspiring paranormal investigator" haha! xx

Don't destroy the image! Bloody weather woman! No! .. I'm seeing a female Captain Jack Sparrow type sailing the seven seas in search of hidden treasure and sword fighting against a ghostly crew of scurvies .. it links in to the "geeky aspiring paranormal investigator" too .. that's how you should sell it! :)

Nice profile Emma, I'll give some thought to some interesting places in Durham.

And Jay.... why do you need a female Jack Sparrow when NGI has it's very own male one in me ;)

Hi Emma, nice to meet you. Meteorology and oceanographic specialist sounds like a cool job.

Good luck with the long ole drive up to Durham. Still, some music might help pass the time...you could listen to errr....maybe some Hawkwind, Snow Patrol, KC and the Sunshine Band, Ice-T? Don't say The Weather Girls..

Ok...I'm going to shutup now, and apologise for my somewhat lame attempt at humour.. :?

Haha that was lame but funny all the same! It sounds way cooler than what it actually is. Lol. The drive only took me 5 and half hours which wasn't too bad. The roads were quiet. Well, I had my rock albumns that kept me going! Haha. Xx
