By the way - the ads on the thread list that you see aren't intended or permanant .. I've recently upgraded the forum to a newer verson and it seems like this ad option has been added into the code somewhere .. so give me a few days to trawl through the code and I'll whip them out when I find where there at!

In most cases I'm led to believe they can be found between your legs...but whipping them out here can't be good for them.

Some people would pay good money for me to whip them out .. but I guess those of a fairer disposition would earn more!

I've the latest version of this forum too but there's no ads in it? I upgraded a few months back because of the better spam filter (and it does work) You must have a dodgy version if ads are in it.

Unless it's to do with the template you've used which could be sneeked in.

Hhhmm .. possibly .. but the template would have had them in in the last version too?? Only thing I can think of is I inserted some "if then else" code in based on a variable I'd set but then the variable, in the latest version, got overwritten or not set ..

I've not yet had chance to look through the code yet anyway - but its on my list!

There you go! The ads were in the cache version of the website (so its quicker to load) ..

What had happened was :

Way back when, some ads were on the forum
The "real" version of the webby had the ads in
The cached version didn't have the ads in
When we look at the forum, it pulls the page from the cache for quicker loading
I'd deleted the cache upon updating
But - the code was still in the "real" version of the webby
So the "ad version" got written to the cache - so we start seeing ads again
I've now deleted the Ad code from the real version
And .. deleted and recreated the cache so we have an Ad Free version ..

For Claire :

Its fixed
