Hi NGI.

My name is Patrick - Founder & lead investigator from the Northern Ghost Research & Investigation Team-UK (NGRIT)

http://www.NorthernGhost.co.uk

I would like to just like to say a few words and respond to the postings on your forum but, firstly I'd like to say you have an excellent website, both informative & professional. Well, done guys!

However, I'm posting this simply because it now appears you too have noticed the similarity of names (due to your forum postings). With regard to the similarity, this has, in the past, (since you came on air, so to speak) unfortunately caused us a few problems with our clients (English Heritage & other historical organisations), especially when they are trying to contact us, reach our website etc. Obviously we have now "hopefully" rectified these "hiccups" but it is possible you may also notice some problems in the near future.

Regarding our name "Northern-Ghost" - Northern Ghost Research & Investigation Team -UK and NGRIT etc we have been "registered" and established since 1984, and our website names have been registered since 1997.
I hope this will clear-up and clarify any questions/misunderstandings that may arise within your team about our name & date of origin.

If, at any time you are mistakenly contacted by anyone wishing to reach ourselves, it would be appreciated if you could re-direct them to us, and I will obviously reciprocate should we receive contact from someone trying to reach you. Hopefully this will be few and far between, but I am sure you can understand the possibility.
Good luck with your future investigations.

Regards
NGRIT

Hi there Patrick - To be honest, we've not had anything come through aimed towards you and your lot but came to us instead - but if anything ever does, i'll send it on your way.

In fact I have spotted 2 other groups have such similarity too. Beside the one who have replied here, the other one is based in US. Just curious to know why is the name "Northern", a favourite choice for this 3 groups ? Cheers.

Well in our case its because that where we tend to focus the things we do - Northern England - and I'm presuming these other 2 groups are the same!
