Deja Vu? A glitch in The Matrix .. :P

I spoke on another thread somewhere about the nature of time and how our brains are limited to only viewing time as a sequential thing. We percieve Past, Present and Future as something moving from here .... to here ..

Latest theories concerning time suggest that what we percieve as Past, Present and Future is actually all happening at once but our minds aren't expansive enough to comprehend it.

Now, it's entirely possible, if we give this theory some credit - that momentarily we become aware of time in this sense and our brain, without us conciously realising it, views a future event and then when we actually experience it, we remember doing it before.

To be fair, I've not had what would be classed as Deja Vu for a long time .. What I experience a lot of is a breakdown in reality. Imagine The Matrix above where I took the quote from .. I tend to describe what I experience as seeing through the 'program' and seeing reality for what it really is.

I don't accept that the 5-sense prison is all that exists - as that belief goes into my psyhce and cements itself - I'm starting to see through what we all take for granted .. I remember when I first started going down this track - I would repeat to myself over and over that "that house across the road doesn't exist" ... eventually, it would look at the house and it would 'flicker' .. Imagine a mad crazy heat wave wobbling the air in front of the house and the house itself flickering like a bulb with an intermittent energy source.

I often now wander around and see the world in what I describe as a 'dream state'. Its quite freaky. Things look distorted, sounds are echoey, everything seems to 'float'.

So no - I don't get Deja Vu in the strictist sense, but I often experience a warped reality.

The Brain can play wonderful tricks. I know when i was studying at college we did a unit on memory and we touched on this experience (anyone who has done psychology will know about this) and its all about retrieiving information stored in the Mutli Storage Memory. Its a way the brain recalls information. i.e. take mobile fones if someone writes down their number it may take u a while to learn the number without looking when its wrote down in a line now if u chunk the mobile number then its easier to take in the information and u will remember it much quicker.
See below what i mean!

07868993831 now chunking it will look like this 0786 899 2831 and u remember it quicker. Sometimes I have stood somewhere and thought i have been here or i have said this before but it take the deja vous (been here before) with a pitch of salt but it is very interesting isnt it.

jay - I mentioned it as it had a lot to do with retrievel of information in the certain parts of the brain. You recall it sub-con and its feels very familar hence this is the feeling you have been there before or said the same thing.

So your supporting Deja Vu in that it is something experienced previously? So what about the predictive qualities of Deja Vu? The "oohhh .. deja vu!! lol .. been here before .. someone will now walk through the door ...." .. bingo ..

There are many instances of Deja Vu where people can predict the passage of events in the moments after the experience starts - not till next week - but in the seconds thereafter ..
