I've just been out for my lunch and bought Darren Ritson's new book 'Paranormal North-East'

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Paranormal-Nort ... 161&sr=8-4

It looks ok to tell you the truth. Tons about The Keep, Bowes, The Stoop etc. Load of pics too.

I'll let you know how I get on with it.

Not sure, I'll have a look tonight as my boss is peering over my shoulder at the moment.

Haunted Middlesbrough has details of Acklam hall, although to be honest the book is not up to much.

Haunted Middlebrough is pretty shit I agree. One or two interesting tales and a lot of vague hearsay and padding.

Nothing about Acklam Hall in the book but have read chapters on the Schooner, Bowes and The Grotto last night. Not bad.

I'm a big fan of Ritson's work - his partner Micheal Hallowell's stuff is very cool too.

He has written about the Grotto, but I think it was Mike Hallowell who the lady at the Grotto was referring to.

Although never met Rob - he's often getting in touch about stories we've picked up on our travels to include in his books .. I've wrote 3 or 4 bits for inclusion .. Dok has .. Claire too ..

I've read both of his books, and they're both really good. Rob was a big inspiration to me when I first started out :D
