I picked up this little book the other week and I can honestly recommend it.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ghosts-Caught-F ... 202&sr=8-4

All the classic 'ghost' photos are there as well a some newer ones. Some of the shots that are included have been proved to be false or wrongly identified as paranormal in this day and age, but they are still included as they very much part of the history of 'ghost' photography.

If you'er looking for a stocking filler this christmas then this book is ideal.

They've just brought out a sequel to this book entitled the 'Paranormal Caught on Film'. It's basically more of the same, in that it is a collection of photos that allegedly show paranormal events. Some are good, some are bad, and some are just plain ugly, but all are interesting in their own way. Not much in the way of background accompanies the images but if you enjoy looking through photos that aren't your usual dust and camera straps, then this is well worth a looky. It will be on my xmas list.

I bought it and didn't think much of it. It's just basic airbrush and double exposure. I did scan the contents to send out as christmas cards though.

These books aren't really meant to be a journal of 'genuine spirit photography', more like a visual history of the topic through the ages.

It's that time of year again where I can look forward to receiving another book in the series for Christmas.

Ghost Caught on Film 3 is another collection of shadowy figures, strange mists and ghostly apparitions... or should that be plain old shadows, cold breath and pareidolia? Either way it's interesting to see what is passing for paranormal photography these days.

Well there's not that much to actually read in them, just a few paragraphs about each photo, but they are interesting.
