I think the Evil dead films were great, particularly the first one.It had a terrifying atmosphere and all those strange voices and sounds.Although these films have humour running through 'em theyre still creepy

I can barely remember The Evil Dead .. I remember watching it when I was about 10 with my mam and all I remember is where the 'branch' rapes the girl in the trees .. I remember squirming in a "don't know whats happenning but I kinda do" kind of way infront of my mam!! (Well, I think that was the Evil Dead) ..

But to be fair - I've never been a fan of Zombie films or hack 'n slashers or anything like that. Vampires and ghosts, yeah .. but not really the rest ..

...That was the second one andrea and was even, deliberately, funnier than the first but the nastiness is always there just bubbling under.I recommend everyone see the first one.Its a cult classic. :)

The second one was more of a comedy than scary. When he smashed the plates off his head it creased me up.

The third film was absolutely dire and I'll never get that wasted part of my life back!

If the first one was remade using today's techology I reckon it would make quite a good film now. I'm not sure about swallowing the eye ball scene though - that was abit obvious.
