I'm a big vampire fan too .. ever since I read the Vampire Chronicles (first one was Interview With A Vampire) by Anne Rice.

Thought that Van Helsing was a little too 'Hollywood' for me, but Lost Boys was a good film and for some reason I really really enjoyed Underworld - let me think why ..........

Nope .. can't think .. but I'm really looking forward to watching the sequel ..

....I recently bought van helsing in the xmas sales, somewhat half-heartedly for a fiver. What a great film, course its a bit hollywood,i enjoyed every second.I love films with werewolves, seeing them change from human to wolf.never fails to get me.The best transformation though is still the scene from "An american werewolf in london",where he changes in jenny agutter's flat.its still stunning now.As for van helsing, the more it went on the more you fell in love with Kate beckinsale. But i think she can be beaten......Charlize theron in Aeonflux.....she's absolutely gorgeous....upsettingly so...jesus!!!! :D

Totally agree with you with American .. and when you consider how long ago it was now and is still to be beaten - makes you think.

Nah - Kates still my number one for now altho I would stick my fangs in Ms Theron's neck given half the chance ..

Interview with the Vampire was one of my favs too but the book is much, much better. The Queen of the Damned sequal was absolute Sh**e though.

Underworld was class too but again the sequal tried too hard and ended up (in my opinion) boring. It had it's moments and of course wor Kate was pleasing to watch.

Does anyone else keep thinking of Underworld as the Mike Baldwin's factory in Corrie? Maybe Kate should work there as a model!

tc

Quen of the dammned was total crap - it was totally different from the book.I thought the movies spoilt the book.Interview with a vampire was really good as is the book .Im reading the third book at the moment in the chronicals

They missed the plate with the 2nd IwaV films ..

The Vampire Chronicles are all about Lestat and while the 1st one serves as a general introductory and focuses on Louis - Lestat takes over from then on - the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th .. sadly, the film tried to mush together books 2 and 3 into one film and as a result I have point blank refused to watch it.

Book 4 and 5 are funny ones - I won't go into detail if you haven't read them yet - but they are more standalone stories in a general sense and not real 'vampirey' in their nature. They are - but not - if you know what I mean. But if you like Lestat and would enjoy reading a story with him in regardless of what he's doing - even shopping in Asda - then you'll enjoy them.

Can't say I've gotten around to reading the others in the VCs .. about Pandorra and Armand and such - as I was just a Lestat junkie .. :o

When I saw the lost boys it made me want to be a vampire more than ever. Before this film vampires were always depicted as 'old worldy'. The lost boys were cool teens, just like me at the time

Liked the soundtrack too.

tc :P

Yeah Ive told everyone my dream in General Chat under the topic Dreams :) I had to keep it clean though lol I agree the sound track was amazing for the lost boys.

The Lost Boys: My fav Film of all time and it helped that it had loads of lush guys in too, they even looked sexy when they turned into vampires.

Underworld: I have seen both of the Films and i love the story behind it.

Van Helsing: This Film was well good and hugh jackman looks very fit in it.
