Anyone recall this little gem for the early 80's, Joanna Lumley and David McCallum playing dimensional agents sent to investigate paranormal phenomenon. This was a pretty dark show for it's time and was shown on prime time TV, I remember running home for 7pm to watch this when it was on.

You may recall the title sequence http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gjHmEUiaxo

When I get the cash I'm going to buy the DVD box set which is currently selling for around £60, but it will be well worth it to see some of the oddness written into that show.

I seem to remeber abbaddon describing him and I as Sapphire and Steel. Got a feeling that he thought of me as sapphire. Hmpph

Surely Michael Knight and Kitt was more like it. I've got the curly hair and Marks got plenty of passenger space available at his rear. LOL

DERAILED! :D

Anyway, if Sapphire and Steel was remade based around boro it would most likely involve a couple of agents called Burberry and Parmo.

And yes, Dangermouse was always better than the Turtles, I'd swear his car was based on the DeLorean and the Quattro.

That has to be a euphemism surely, and certainly not something that should be discussed on a public forum.

It was probably used to describe some deviant practice at some stage too I reckon, how could you pass up the chance to invite someone back to play Undercover Elephant?

Plenty of those around Middlesbrough on a Friday night, not that covered up though, most just wear the belt.

Martin Chatfield at the Uni was one of the animators on Undercover Elephant.

What about Secret Squirrel and Morrocco Mole?

Does anyone remember Baggypants and The Nitwits... it used to come on before Swap Shop on a Saturday morning. Baggypants was a cat based on Charlie Chaplin and The Nitwits were an old man and his wife who were secretly supeheroes. I remember it being brilliant... sadly I was three years old and if it was anything as good as Marine Boy (which I hunted down on ebay and bought every episode of) it will be a load of old morroco mole.
