As a person who works with people with learning disabilities, you've used a very insulting word and label which still causes offence now more than ever. So be careful in your choice of words as a lot of these people can read, and also enjoy using the internet and forums!

Imbecile indicated an intellectual disability less extreme than idiocy and not necessarily inherited. It is now usually subdivided into two categories, known as severe mental retardation and moderate mental retardation.

Its a description taken from a dictionary. probably another case of PC gone mad.

I didnt intend to cause anyone distress, and you have probably gathered I am not a very PC person, I believe in being upfront about things. Sometimes a spade has to be called a spade and not a gardening utensil or soil turner.

I have family members that suffer learning difficulties, I have a disabled mother who soon will not be able to walk. I myself am carry a disability, I am blind in one eye. I appreciate the work that goes on with disabled people, and would take nothing away from anyone.

However, in the context I used it, I was stating a fact that with an IQ below 20 people suffer from severe mental retardation. I chose imbecile because I felt "retard" was offensive.

So I dont do PC stuff, I rarely intend any harm from ANYTHING I say or type, and I personally put this down to the fact you cant judge meaning or inference from a few lines of text.

back on topic now :)

MH in my books is for entertaiment yes, but I do however believe there is some truth somewhere in it.............. again it was interesting to see their results from NEAM as they got same responce to the same things we did, in the same places, now before that I thought wot a laugh, (Not derek tho-- i do think he is a great medium) but now it makes me think yeah they have to be given some credit, only some tho

Of course they got the got the same result they knew that people who have been there before had stones thrown at them the question is by whom??? :? Mh is for Entertainment only and how can it be fair to have one sceptic on it not right at all should be balanced even NGI has more believers than sceptics but we dont mind in the slightest. well i dont! haha

The best thing to do is also to put the other Psychologist in Matthew smith.
Match made in heaven.

Is anyone watching that 'Most Haunted - The Search for Evil' thing? I've only seen the adverts for it and to say it looks over the top is an understatement. They look like they're trying to summon demons or something. Anyone care to tell me what it is like?
