When my husband went I know he waited until I woke up, then I felt his presence pass right through my body and I know he left right there and then. I don't think he has ever been near since. It's OK - I don't particularly want him to as things weren't great and I have a completely new life now, but I wonder, if anything, what he thinks.

I'm not expecting this question to be answered here, but any advice/direction would be appreciated. I was considering joining a spiritualist church?

Jackie

I am sure when the time is right and the situation requires that your departed husband needs to make his presence felt he will , wether you have a new life or not he is probably more than aware of your current circumstances, they are not around us all the time they still have to progress in spirit.I would certaintly think about visiting your local SNU church hopefully you will receive the peace of mind you now seek.

Hi Jackie. My bit of advice may not be what everyone thinks but its just my view ok :) Im a sceptic but i would still love to think that people who we have lost are around us and watching over us. My dad passed away when I was 15 and he missed out on my children been born and my wedding and other stuff what has gone on in my life. I went to a Spiritulist church once with Fellow team sceptic members Lee (wish he had told me you get a booklet and have to sing like 3 songs..lol) Anyway, lee got a message. but to me you dont need to go to a place like this where you dont really know who is for real or not. My advice is remember that person whom you have lost. Remember all the good times that you shared together but if you feel you should go to a meeting then that is your decision. Do whatever you feel is right for you :)

Oh I'm just curious really. I know when my mam died I felt her/smelt her everywhere for such a long time - it was like she was always around to keep an eye on me, you know? But with Simon (my husband) I actually FELT him pass through my body as I woke up (this could not have been my imagination as I thought at the time he was asleep next to me) and that was it - a year later I have never had any feeling of him being around - not even once. It's like he slung his hook and turned his back, never to return, which I find surprising.

But I would love to know what he's thinking and if he thinks I'm doing OK by myself. I'm not grieving or in a state or anything (ie not crackers!) - just interested.

Jax

OK well I have e-mailed Darlington Spiritualist Church and I have a phone number if that doesn't work so that's a start. I'll let you know how I get on
