My first time at using a ouiji board was at an invo with NGI. I have used them a few times now, and up until last night only at investigations. But I have always had responses from them.

Lee's report on the Castle Keep on May 23rd, explains one of my experiences.

Anyway, earlier tonight, we had a power-cut and My parents where away, there was me, my brother Dani, my boyfriend Jason and a friend Darryl. We where at a loss wondering what to do, since we coudn't watch the wresteling as planned. So I had the bright idea of doing a ouiji board, I figured since nobody had started to drink yet and we where all in a calm mood, it might be interesting and my brother was well up for it, because he wanted to see "What I get upto with those NGI lot?"

We lit some candles and sat round the kitchen table, and using some of the tips I picked up from NGI members I talked them through imagining a white light to protect themselves.

We then started asking the board questions.

For about 5 mins nothing happened. Then as we where about to give in, my brother said "This is useless, there's nothing there." the planchet began to move.

It spelt out "Dani Boy", a name that only my nana ever used when talking about my brother, needless to say he looked at me, thinking it had something to do with me. We then asked who it was and it spelt out "Guy", at this my brother looked at me and asked me to take my hand off the planchet, so he could be sure it wasn't me controlling the board, I cant blame him as I have told him all about the experiences we have had at NGI, I took my hand away.

The three lads then asked how old he was, to which he spelt out "70" another answer we have had a few times, they asked if he had been the one talking to me at the castle keep, he replied "yes", we then went on to ask if there where any other spirits in the room, it said "yes"
It then went onto spell out some names "Ray", "Hilda", "Mr Teasdale", Ray and Mr Teasdale where both neighbours when i was young, as my brother is only 17, he wouldn't have remembered any of them as they died when he was a baby. They where also people I had a strong connection too. Hilda was my nana. Jason suddenly said he could smell roll your own tabacco, despite nobody in the house being a smoker. Just then the board spelt out the name "Gordon", Gordon was my aunties boyfriend, some of the family didn't get on with him, but as a child I spent a lot of time with him, and found him friendly enough. He was also a heavy smoker and rolled his own cigarettes. Dani is one person who didn't like him and wouldn't voluntarliy suggest his name as we dont often talk about him.
I still did not have my hand on the board and the three who did, knew very little about some of the people it was mentioning.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and told the lads, so my brother asked if that was Guy touching me, the board spelt "yes", then spelt out the words "look after her, son" we where unsure who this was aimed at or what it meant, so we asked if he was talking to Dani since he had asked the last question and he spelt out "yes" so we asked who he should look after and he spelt out my name "Bekki", at this Darryl and Jason both laughed and said in unison "I think she can look after herself", the board then spelt out "too open" then every thing went dead, we could feel the energy leave the room and it was only then that we realised the power had gone back on, how long it had been on we dont know, we had been to absorbed, it was only then that I noticed the light on the washing machine and the hum of the freezer. But as the light had been off beforehand it had not come back on.

My brother is pretty skeptical when it comes to the paranormal, but even he had to admit there was stuff said that none of them would have known, despite me not touching the board throughout part of the contact. He has since questioned family and friends about some of the names mentioned and all talley up with what was said. Jason and Darryl would know nothing about neighbours that i had as a child.

What was amazing about this experience is the fact that I was the only one who believed, the others where all skeptics, but it has made them wonder.

But at least I now know I wasn't controlling the board, unless it was mind control...

Hi, Im Bekki's brother.

I have to admit, this experience freaked me out a little, expecially after bekki took her hand off the board. The mind control thing may be an explanation. I know Bekki can make me do things I dont want to, just by looking at me, so maybe its not all that strange a conception.

lol  he means Ive got him wrapped round my finger.
I used to have problems with communication, wouldn't speak to many people, Dani always seemed to know what i wanted just by me looking at him I never needed to speak.
I can get him to do pretty much anything cos he always seems to know what im thinking. For example. We where at South Shields fishing a while ago and I was getting thirsty. We looked at each other and he disappeared. The fisherman next to us was wondering why he had walked off without saying anything, so i told him he'd gone to buy drinks. 5 mins later he came back with the drinks. The Fisherman was astounded considering no converstaion had taken place prior to him going.

We are just that close, there is no need for converstaion, but Dani is adamant that i using some kind of mind control. lol :D

"He will obey my every order"

I could tell you from my point of view how it affects her.

- She hates her routine spoilt, even if its something little such as me buying the wrong bread. It can put her on edge all day. If she has something planned she needs to run through all the details before hand. Even then she usually turns up early rather than risk been late.

- She has no concept of danger. If a strange man pulled up and offered her a lift, she'd take it. Luckily we have taught her to fight and stand up for herself.

- She used to have problems talking and communicating and relied on me and my other brothers and sisters to talk for her. But since attending ESPA a specialist college she has come out of her shell a bit. Only problem is now she talks to everyone, the postman, the milkman, the drunks on the street corner etc.

- She collects things obsessively, dud batteries are the worst, she has over 1000 and she knows if they've been moved. Holiday brochures was another collection yet she dosnt like going on holiday.

- She is picky about food, she likes to eat a couple of different foods for weeks on end and she always leaves a mouthful on her plate and a mouthful of coffee in her cup.

- She has a lot of sensory problems, lights are too bright for her, certain sounds annoy her, she has no concept of sharp pain (She broke her leg and walked on it for days, before it was noticed) yet she can feel dull pain. She also gets confused between senses, i.e. she covers her eyes if theres a loud bang. One of our pet sayings that stemmed from something she said once while waiting for the bus coming is "I can smell the bus coming"

- Ghost hunting is the ideal place for her, stuck in a dark quiet room, she has more control over her senses that in the daylight.

- She used to struggle to understand other peoples feelings, but is now studying counselling at degree level after learning to overcome certain barriers.

She wasn't diagnosed as having Aspergers until she was 21, which made childhood hell for her and for us poor siblings who knew something was up but couldn't do nothing about it. She comes across as normal now, because of ESPA teaching her how to fit into society, but she still struggles with a lot of stuff, but tries not to show it.

Oh and the most important thing is she dosn't class herself as having an illness. As far as she is concerned Aspergers is just a way of living.

Hope thats helpful. Bekki will probably comment herself when she comes on. Dont be shy to ask her about her aspergers, she loves telling people about it, she likes to raise awareness and sometimes does speeches for the NAS and ESPA on her perception of Aspergers.

Thanks Pollen.

Yeah me and my bro are close, despite the age gap.

I started my website cos I dint want others to go through what i had, i felt it was a shame that it took a prison sentence to get me diagnosed. They reckon at least half of the rpison population are undiagnosed as having an autistic spectrum disorder or mental illness, just think if all them people had help early enough then our prisons probably wouldn't be over crowded.

Yeah Dani is right about the ghost hunting, I function better in the dark and quiet. I have always been a night person I can be really grouchy through the day, I guess your lucky you have only seen me at night. lol. :) The prison where the ones who picked up on this. I was always getting into trouble on the wings, I would kick off at the slightest thing, mainly because of the noise etc. But when they put me on segregation, on my own in a quiet room with limited sensory stimule I would calm down, then they would move me back to the wing and I would play up again. At the moment a lot of my sensory problems are controlled by medication but they can still be a problem. Night time is always the calmest as there is less of a sensory overload.

And I suppose actually very good stuff that the prison service did notice this....I'm actually suprised there so nice one!
yeah, societys answer to stuff it cant understand or deal with...lock it up eh,dont try and put in place things before hand to help people who srtuggle with mainstream shit for whatever reason.....but I wont go off on that one....

Have u tried any other stuff for your sensory stuff bekki?

I've tried loads of stuff, Im on medication at the moment, which helps me. I also tend to walk around during the day with my ipod in my ears, so spontanius noises dont startle me. I avoid things like disco's, but can sometimes manage them if Im doped up to the eyeballs on meds. I have to take travel sickness pills, all the time cos motion affects me. Which is annoying cos I have a real love of cars and other vehicles. I also used coloured lighting at home to calm me, at college I had to use ascetate to read because I couldn't focus on white paper, cos it was too bright. If I am sat in a room for too long I cant bare the clock ticking, so i take the batteries out, But thats a bonus cos I just add them to my collection.

There are some good points. I have very sensetive hearing. I often used to sit on the stairs outside the staffroom at college when they where having thier meeetings and I could hear every word. I also pick up on smells before others. I reported a smell of gas in the street one day, the gas board came out but where determined thiere was nothing wrong, a week later they had a major gas leak in the area. (Now they tend to listen to me more)

I also only like the feeling of certain materials, I cant stand denim or anything like that. I can only where cotton clothes or fleece stuff. I love anything fluffy and my whole bedroom is covered, even the sheets on my bed are fluffy.

I once had a police man say that I was the oppisite of a werewolf, cos Im at my best at night, but as soon as day-time hits I turn into a monster. lol

The best jobs I have ever had have been night-shift ones. They are the only ones I seem to be able to keep without getting sacked. "oooohhhh i shouldn't say that, ive just signed a contract to work for ESPA as student counsellor)
