I've just found this site. It seems quite new as there isn't much on it yet, but it may be a good one to keep looking at in future as it's local.

I notice there's been a few case files added to this site. There's some interesting local stories of which I have not been previously aware.

Is ghosttees as the name suggests in relation to the towns and vallages that surrounds our area?

Shame that there's only one ghost story on the site, connected to Darlington. :(

For those who may not know ?, Darlington is home to Teesside Airport, and there is a hotel located in the vicinity called the St George hotel. This establishment, is well known locally, to be haunted by a former RAF pilot who died when crash landing his plane to what is now the west wing of the hotel.

During the war, the premises were an Officer's Mess, and the building now functions as a popular hotel with flight passengers and local Darlingtonians who wish to dine in splendour, whilst looking out at the departing and landing airplanes.

Other haunted locations in Darlington :

The Civic Theatre

Darlington North Road Train Station

Darlington North Road Rail Museum

Darlington South Park

The Hallgarth Hotel

Darlington Central Library

St Andrew's Church ( Haughton Green )

Darlington Covered Market

River Tees @ Blackwell Scar ( Associated with Witchcraft )

Theres some good stuff on there.

Sadly its not often updated, or does not appear to be.
And many of the tales are anecdotal.

Still its good for reference, theres a few about Thornaby I had not heard of before.
Sadly none of Billingham.
