The Studio - Investigation Report
The Studio is a unique music facility in a £1m converted 100 year old Baptist Church near the centre of Hartlepool. It is a facilitator helping to engage the local population in music either as trainee, performer or spectator. It encourages participation in and enjoyment of music by all members of the community, particularly those disadvantaged people who have had little opportunity to experience and enjoy arts activities through lack of easy access or lack of money. We all met up there at 8pm on a cold and wet sunday evening, looking forward to hopefully meeting some of its past inhabitants and possibly music stars. How we Heard About The Studio
One of the NGI team ,Dell, found this little gem for us. He has played there and we were lucky enough that the owners invited us to investigate the site.
The History Of The Studio
Previously a working church , the site has now been converted into a live music venue with recording studios and rehearsal rooms.
The Paranormal History Of The Studio
Many of the employees have had a feeling and sense of being watched in various areas of the building. Some refuse to enter certain rooms alone and especially at night. There have also been reports of ladies being touched in the toilets when alone and general feeling of unease throughout the ground floor.
Pre-Visit Information Concerning The Studio
Dell, not one to be scared or frightened easily, tells a story of his own experience whilst rehearsing. He was in one of the first floor rehearsal rooms and felt a change in the room; looking into the corner he says he saw a cowled/robed shadowy figure watching him which disappeared when he looked away. Certainly we hoped to encounter this during our investigation.
