Playboy, Fridge and Pigeon Room

There were 3 rooms situated to the left of the stairwell as you enter the apartment that we dubbed Playboy Room - because of the wallpaper, Fridge room - as this is all the room contained and Dead Pigeon room because of smashed windows that allowed pigeons to get inside and die. The three rooms would be considered as location one for the purpose of the investigation.

Playboy room was furnished with only a wooden and glass cabinet in one corner of the room, some multi-gym equipment and a couple of old fruit machines. The floor was carpeted but covered in pigeon feathers and poo.

The fridge room contained only a fidge (which was empty) and nothing else. There were no carpets, but there was an emergency door and a barred window.

Dead pigeon room was a small bathroom and although considered part of location 1, we decided to keep the door closed due to the unhygenic nature of the room.

Medium Walkaround With Chris

The first thing that was commented upon by Chris, in the Playboy Room, was a difficulty in breathing and a sickness in the stomach. It was as though his stomach was rolling around, back and forth.

A man could be sensed here aged between 40 and 50. Chris described him as being stocky, though he expanded on this and decided what he really meant was short and a little fat. He could sense that the man was miserable. Not miserable in himself, but would be a misery to other people, bitter and cynical. Chris thought that the man could have been somewhat of a loner or a hermit and kept himself pretty much to himself. Chris felt that this man - in spirit - would be responsible for moving things.

In the fridge room Chris could sense an elderly lady and what he described as a small fire - nothing large, perhaps something no bigger than a chip pan fire, but he kept getting this impression. He didn't feel that the room itself was active at all times, perhaps only when somebody was present - he felt that spirits would be drawn to this room when it was occupied.

Above the doorways to the Playboy Room, Fridge Room and the Bathroom was a entrance to the loft. As it was difficult to clamber into, Chris only commented that he sensed the spirit of a man up there - a creepy man with creepy eyes, perhaps in his late 20's who was crouching in a corner, hiding. Chris felt the man was hiding from somebody who had come into the building specifically to look for him. Chris felt this had something to do with drugs and the man had passed over due to a drug overdose.

Group 1 Report : Andrea Nikki Jay Michael Jo

We spread ourselves out amongst the Playboy Room and Fridge Room and settled down for a 15 minute silent vigil.

Almost immediately, Jo reported that she could hear panting breath, while Nicola was hit with a feeling that something didn't want us in these rooms - specifically the Playboy Room.

Andrea turned on her dictaphone to see if she could pick up any sounds but found that her batteries were drained although they were new just that day.

It appeared that the corner of the Playboy Room - where a large wall cabinet sat - was a haven for orbs on digital camera and on video camera.A lot of them would no doubt be dust and false-positives, but it's possible that there could have been a few maybe's amongst them. We were certainly picking up some strange and intermittent EMF readings in the area of the cabinet. In fact, they're appeared to be strange EMF readings right across the wall from the cabinet towards the doorway. At first it was felt that there were possible unshielded wiring within the wall, but the readings would still come and go whilst if it was wiring that was responsible, the readings would have been constant.

Andrea and Jay made their way out to the stairwell leading up to the apartment of which the wall in question backed onto and took further readings. Again, the same readings were prevelant here. It was while on the stairwell that both Jay and Andrea heard a small laugh of a woman or a child. Nobody else was on the stairwell other than those two.

Back in the Playboy Room, Jo was now reporting feelings of nausea and a shortness of breath.

Upon returning to the Playboy Room, Andrea saw a shape move out of the corner of her eye - which she described as a "little person" - running into the Fridge Room. Chris, the team medium, was on the scene at that time and confirmed a spirit had just entered the Fridge Room and went straight out through the emergency dooway located within.

Before leaving location one, Jay reported hearing a banging noise within the room.

Group 2 Report : Pam Sue Rachel Darrin

We had a 15 minute silent vigil in this location and found that there was nothing to report - likewise when we began calling out or using dowsing rods and pendulams.

Other than a few irregular EMF readings within the Fridge Room and a few orbs that we're picked up on camera by Sue, we found very little evidence of any activity in this location.

Group 3 Report : Bruce Mike Anita Paul

We gathered together in this, our second location and immediately could report a flash outside on the landing - it may have been a flash from a camera, but upon checking, found nobody outside on the landing taking pictures.

We picked up on numerous noises whilst in this location - it was reported by Chris, who was visiting us at this time, that he heard pool balls clanging together. There were some pool balls on the floor in this room, though nobody was standing near them at the time. Rachel reported hearing a few clicks coming from the door to the Playboy Room and we all heard a loud bang coming from the window area, although this may have originated outside.

Michael began using dowsing rods and picked up on spirit of a man who had lived and died in this building, of natural causes, when the site was being used as a TB Hospital. Anita took over the rods but got little response from them - We had heard stories about an alledged spiritual attack in this building and so asked the spirit present whether it was responsible for the attacks - it said yes. When asked whether it wanted to attack again - it said yes. When asked who it wanted to attack - we managed to determine that it was Michael!!! The spirit would not respond to any other questions.

Base, Bunk, Master Bedroom and Study

There were four roooms situated to the right of the stairwell. Firstly, a large living room with an adjoining kitchen. The room was unfurnished (barring an out of place wardrobe in the kitchen area) and was chosen to be our base room.

Next to the baseroom was a childs bedroom which contained a chest of draws and bunk beds - the wall paper was pealing from the walls. Next to this was what we described as the master bedroom, a large room where again, the wallpaper was pealing and plaster was falling from the walls and roof - this room was furnished with two large sets of wardrobes.

There was also a small room filled with rubbish and junk that was strewn across the floor - this room was pitch black as it had no window to the outside.

Medium Walkaround With Chris

In the room that we considered our baseroom - a large living room area with an adjoining kitchen - Chris coud see the room flicking back and forth between three different furnished periods : a Hippy/Retro look, a room which reminded him of grandparents and a muti-function room.

In the bunk bed room, he picked up on the spirit of a young girl called Alice that he said only came to this room on visitation and was not grounded here.

In the master bedroom, he kept getting a vision played out to him : an erotic love scene between a man and a woman. The woman, who was blonde and wearing satin underwear, was leaning over the man. However, what was strange to Chris - and sadly, something he could not elaborate on - was there seemed to be a twist in their relationship, everything was not as it seemed.

Incidently, on the stairwell leading up to the apartments, Chris saw a blonde woman. She was in the vicinity of the gym room screaming over what Chris said was a dead body. Chris believes the woman on the stairs and the woman in the repeating vision were the same.

Group 1 Report : Andrea Nikki Jay Michael Jo

The majority of our time whilst in this location was spent in the master bedroom where we conducted a small group calling circle. Chris was present at the time and although he was telling us that spirit was present, they were telling him that we were not generating enough energy for them to be able to use.

However, the time spent was not a complete waste - we could hear a couple of bangs coming from the landing outside and Jay felt what he described as cobwebs on the right hand side of his face.

Chris picked up a name in this room - Madeline - but could give us no more information.

Group 2 Report : Pam Sue Rachel Darrin

After settling ourselves in this area and entering the bunk bed room, Pam announced that she was picking up on the spirit of a Michael Stratton who, she claimed, had suffocated three children. The three children were a baby girl called Molly and another young girl and boy. She got the sense that Stratton had been angry with his wife and so smothered the children with a blanket.

While Pam was relating this, we heard a loud bang outside on the landing. Also, while in the bunk bed room we could hear a series clicks coming from the room next door, when we investigated, we found nothing that could have caused the noise.

Pam picked up on another name : Clive Docherty - but she could not give us any more information.

Group 3 Report : Bruce Mike Anita Paul

We settled down a performed a small glass s?ance in the room that we considered our base room. However, after a while we stopped as there appeared to be very little movement.

In the small bunk bed room, we found the EMF detector was going haywire. Both in the middle of the room and in an area at the bottom of the beds, near to the ladder, the EMF would go crazy as it picked something up. Without warning, the EMF would stop and not pick anything up, but shortly after started up once more, again whirring away like crazy.

Whilst we were in the main bedroom, with the door closed - we kept hearing taps on the door as if somebody was wanting to enter the room and they were announcing themselves beforehand - however, when we checked, there was no body on the landing outside the door.

Throughout her time in this location, Rachel complained of ear-ache and back-ache, both down her left hand side.

The Attic

Up a small stairway and through a small hatch was the Attic which was probably not officially an attic as there were signs that it had maybe once been used as living quarters.

There were five small roooms up here, firstly, a room which contained a modern boiler, was pitch black and its floor covered in mattresses. Next to the room was a room that had been completely gutted. There was no wall paper or carpets and a small fireplace that had once been a part of the room and been completely stripped form the room.

The third room on this landing was no more than an extension to the landing - barely large enough swing a cat. Next to this was another room similar to the previous fireplace room that was identical in it's condition - complete with stripped away fireplace.

The final room on this level was another pitch black room where the plaster had fallen from the roof and walls although the floor was clear of anything that prevented you from entering. All the rooms in the Attic were extremely dusty.

Medium Walkaround With Chris

Again, similar to the Playboy room downstairs, Chris was immediately hit with a sense of nausea when he came into the attic which he couldn't attribute to anything. In all, Chris didn't like being up here and was getting a very uneasy feeling.

He felt that at sometime in the past the Attic hadn't been used by any people downstairs and in fact had been shut off to the rest of the building. Perhaps there had even been another stairway into the section of the building which was now long gone.

In the boiler room, he picked up the sense of an elderly man who had died in that room and who had perhaps by lying in the room for a few days to a week before his body had been found. He also got the impression of an elderly lady in one of the stripped fireplace rooms who enjoyed knitting.

Perhaps linking to one of the rooms downstairs, Chris also got the impression that the rooms in the attic had maybe been used for sexual or erotic purposes. He felt that maybe the rooms here had been used by prostitutes who brought their punters here.

Group 1 : Andrea Nikki Jay Michael Jo

Our final location of the night meant a trip up to the very top floor : the Attic. As there were five separate locations within the Attic, we each found a place in our own little room and sat in silence for the first segment of out investigation and it wasn't long before we started to feel and hear things.

Jo reported hearing tapping noises within the room containing the boiler, while Nicola reported hearing rustling sounds.Jay complained of a cold spot that had appeared right down the right side of his body, where he was sat. Again, Nicola heard noises in the darkness where she was stationed - this time a shuffling noise.

We moved from one room to the other after a while and in the really dark room,[p12]Jay reported that something seemed to be touching his head. It felt, he explained, like cobwebs hanging from the roof - but when he checked there was nothing hanging down.

From one of the rooms, Andrea heard a very low whisper which she believes asked her to "come here" but then shortly after this a number of us heard a gentle laugh.

Before we left the attic, Nicola heard what sounded similar to the noise a bathroom light makes when you pull the cord - clickity click. We checked when we met with the rest of the groups whether or not anybody had pulled any cords when we were in the attic - nobody had.

Group 2 Report : Pam Sue Darrin

We entered the Attic as our second location. Although some areas were a little cramped, we did our best to spread out and stay quiet.

While we we're conducting a silent vigil, Pam reported a noise from the area around her feet. We shined a torch in the area but found nothing that could explain what she had heard. Not too much time later, we heard a digital beeping sound and were unable to isolate where the noise was coming from.

When we began our calling out session, we were getting various sounds from within the attic such as creaking floorboards, taps and bangs.

There was one point where we thought we could make out a shadowy figure in the doorway to the Attic but decided evetually that it was probably just our imagination.

Group 3 Report : Bruce Mike Anita Paul Rachel

We entered the Attic as our first location. It was still fairly light outside but even with the last of the days sunlight streaming through the windows, the Attic was still a creepy place.

Sadly, there didn't seem that much activity, although there were one or two instances to report such as Rachel faintly hearing what she thought was a womans laugh and then not too much time later, two faint footsteps.

Rachel felt periodic cold spots but particuarly felt a cold draft down her right hand side, while Bruce, whilst investigating the darkest of the rooms, claimed to be able to see dark shadows within the corner.

Rachel also reported having problems with her left eye, a constant itching and twitching, and also a pain in her head above the left eye.
